The point of this deck is to cast Piru while having several payoffs on the board. After that the goal is to recur Piru/nonlegendary creatures I control as many times as I can.

One card that may seem slightly odd is Karlov of the Ghost Council. Ever since I made a deck with Karlov I have loved playing with the card. When I realized that I would probably get 10-12 lifegain triggers every time Piru went off, I realized I could use Karlov to clean up the legendary creatures left behind, as well as control the board afterwards. So, that's why he is in the deck. He doesn't do much early on, with only about 8 sources of lifegain in the deck besides Piru.
