"But the wicked are like the churning sea, for it cannot rest, and its waters spew forth refuse and mud."

The strategy here is to go as wide as possible as quickly as possible, while pitching cards into our graveyard for recursion abuse later. Cards like Altar of Dementia and Hermit Druid, as well as dredgers like Stinkweed Imp can get us filling the yard with cards consistently and quickly, while recursion engines such as our commander, Meren of Clan Nel Toth, Genesis, and Oversold Cemetery allow us to bring those cards back to our hand or the battlefield efficiently. With enough cards hitting the graveyard, we will inevitably hit a critical mass, where we can abuse the ETB triggers of Avenger of Zendikar or Eternal Witness every turn, effectively giving us cheap tutors to whatever we've managed to dump so far. Riftsweeper serves to help return cards exiled by opponent's graveyard hate to our library to access again later.

The second main strategy is to dump tokens onto the battlefield as fast as possible, both to overrun the table, but also to generate expendable bodies for more experience. We can do this through single use spells like Spider Spawning or Worm Harvest as well as repeatable engines such as the aforementioned Avenger, Mycoloth or Ghoulcaller Gisa. Slimefoot, the Stowaway, Parallel Lives and Ashnod's Altar can win on the spot if there are no answers, and Korozda Guildmage can net us a fair number of saprolings which can be pumped with the help of Tendershoot Dryad.

We also run a sizeable ramp package, both in terms of getting extra lands on the battlefield through Cultivate or Skyshroud Claim but also through cards like Crypt Ghast or The Gitrog Monster, which has the added benefit of drawing lots of cards as we naturally mill ourselves and toss lands into the graveyard. Sakura-Tribe Elder combos well with Meren, allowing us to ramp, increase our experience counters, and return Steve on our end step to do it all again.
