Endless Poly-bilities:

This Deck aims to "Cheat" out some big stuff.

  1. Get a Token into play
  2. Polymorph the Token
  3. Profit

Getting Emrakul, the Aeons Torn (or another Finisher) on the battlefield turn 4 is possible. I usually get to it around turn 5. Most Decks lack answers to an Emrakul in play.

You can chump with tokens, use Timely Reinforcements, Holy Day, Mana Leak, Dispel and Condescend to stall the game until you are set up for Polymorph or Proteus Staff. The counters and Silence help you protect you in that turn.
Alternative plan for winning is going wide with Tokens and Intangible Virtue (potentially hard casting Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite late game).

Gideon, Ally of Zendikar helps with the Token plan, while Narset Transcendent can be game winning on it's own if you manage to -9 her. Otherwise she is just general utilty. +1 gives card advantage and helps getting things set up, -2 can "double" the Tokens your spells produce, extend Silence to two turns or double any instant or sorcery. (Yes, that includes Polymorph)

Utility:

  • Blinkmoth Nexus gives a Polymorph target in a pinch (even after a Board Wipe).
  • Windbrisk Heights gets you "free" spells. With all the Tokens it is very easy to hit the Hideaway Requirement. (The exiled card can be played at "instant" speed (although only in your turn), this can lead to some funny situations.)
  • Halimar Depths helps setting up future Turns

Fixing and Basics

  • Nimbus Maze for coulour fixing
  • some Basic Lands to bring it up to 24 Lands

The AVG CMC is deceiving, because I do not aim to hard cast win conditions. Therefore you might be able to go down a Land or even two, but I feel more comfortable playing like this.

Still working on the Sideboard. Suggestions welcome
  • Blightsteel Colossus and Progenitus are alternate Finishers I had lying around.
  • Detention Sphere is just a great card, it can deal with pretty much anything. Blowing up an entire board of Tokens is by far my favourite application.
  • Supreme Verdict is sometimes the only way to keep yourself alive.
  • Torpor Orb helps slowing some decks down. Some are more effected than others.
  • Sundering Growth get's rid of enchantments and artifacts. (I like the "populate" part of it, but there are other options.)
  • Relic of Progenitus because noone likes scooping to Dredge.
  • There is a free spot here, I originally planned on putting in one Path to Exile I had lying around. I found that I do not really want that. This deck is not really scared of any one little threat and if I really need to get rid of something, there is Detention Sphere. Currently I would really like to put in something against Tron, but as a one of it would not be reliable enough.
  • Get the Finishers you like the most, I plan on having 2x Emrakul in the deck and 2x Elesh Norn in the Sideboard. The idea is to possibly "rebuild" the deck from a combo deck to a (very) weird Token deck after Sideboard.
  • The Mana Base is reliable, but if you have the Money, throw in the Fetch/Shock package
  • Remand is a great option for this deck
  • Some might argue that Inkmoth Nexus is better than Blinkmoth Nexus. I don't really care.
  • Still working on the Sideboard. Suggestions welcome
  • Get some cheaper Finishers. The Poly-bilities here are endless. (Some aren't as good as others, but it is pretty intimidating for an opponent to suddenly face any + CMC Creature in turn 4 or 5)
  • Get rid of the Non Basic Lands (They are nice additions, but the deck will work without them.)
  • Noone needs Planeswalkers (They are fun, but the deck does not rely on them.)
  • Sideboard: If you play casual only, you probably won't need a sideboard, otherwise there are alot of cheaper options for most of the sideboard cards.
Please note that "putting into play" for example Emrakul is different from "casting" it. You won't get the extra turn, "just" a 15/15 body with Annihilator 6. But hey, if you manage to set it up: Windbrisk Heights does actually "cast" stuff.
  1. Changed Midnight Haunting to Spectral Procession, still playtesting to see if it is easy enough to cast.]
  2. I initially really liked the effect of Halimar Depths, but I absolutely hate that it comes into play tapped. Currently I am playing with Islands instead. But I will probably put something else in. Maybee some more Mana fixing, maybee some utility against Tron.
