PolyControl
This is a semi-powerful polymorph brew. The game plan is quite simple - control and stall the field with counters, cantrips and removal, get a creature out and Polymorph into Emrakul, the Aeons Torn and hopefully win the next turn. Goes off earliest T4 but usually safer at T5.
The deck is still in testing any suggestions or ideas are welcome. Cheers! <3
The PolyMorphers
Polymorph : The winning move, preferably cast with Boseiju and/or with counter in hand (pref both so you can use counter for any attempt of removing thy target.
Proteus Staff : Endless source of Polymorphs if you get it out, however not as unexpected as the spell.
The Targets
Raise the Alarm: 2 tokens at instant speed, yes please.Secure the Wastes: An additional alarm, can generate 1 token for the same price (sometimes 1 is enough) but can also flood the board with 1/1's late game. Pretty neet.
Cloudform
: If you get this one resovled you are in a very good position as it is hexproof, if you also got Boseiju the polymorph can now go off close to unhindered. Considering running 3 but we'll see.
Myth Realized: Gathers counters and can be turned into a polymorph target or simply go for face. With only noncreature spells in the deck, every turn is bound to generate counters.
Elspeth, Knight-Errant : Tokens for Poly, occasionally the +3/+3 is also relevant for aggro beatdown with tokens and/or
Cloudform
(flying 5/5 hexproof can close games pretty quick).
The Bomb
Emrakul, the Aeons Torn : The guy you want to get, sadly you dont get the extra turn when you polymorph, so there is this awkward turn when you have to wait and hope your opponent dont do anything stupid like kill poor Emra or win the game or something. 2 Emras is the main, with options post-sideboard.
Control & Counter
Serum Visions : Card draw with an option to plan ahead. Superb staple-card.
Gitaxian Probe : Check your opponents hand and draw cards. Either for blue or for 2 life. Very nice, good to do before attempting polymorphing.
Remand: Counter and draw, another superb blue staple in modern. Perfect thing to do on T2-T3, just to stall.
Mana Leak: Another handy counter, naturally best early game as the opponent has no chance to pay for it.
Swan Song: Unexpected counter, nice to keep in hand when polymorphing (either with spell and 5 mana or with staff at 4 mana). To counter the counter for polymorph or counter removal on your poly target. Can in extremly rare situations be used on your own spells to generate a token to polymorh :P
Path to Exile: One of the best removals in the modern format. Gets rid of most things that matter.
The Landbase
Island : arguably the best card in Magic.
Plains : Plain plains, good to have.
Flooded Strand : Fetch for basics and hallowed.
Hallowed Fountain
: Shockingly effective.
Glacial Fortress : Another double, should come in untapped most of the time.
Boseiju, Who Shelters All : The anti-counter tree very handy, for pulling of those uncounterable polymorphs.
Celestial Colonnade : Flying Manland. For those grindy games where you just need something that can hit the enemy. Mana-expensive. Unexpected polymorph-target if your opponent hasn't figured out what you are trying to do after 8+ rounds.
The SideBoard
Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite : Stand-in as Polymorph target against certain setups (mainly Twin as it stops every creature in the deck). Can also realistically be hard-cast unlike the other polymorph targets.
Iona, Shield of Emeria :Polymorph stand-in vs. certain decks (basically any mono-deck or combo decks like storm.
Leyline of Sanctity : Against burn and storm and 8-racks.
Rest in Peace : Anti graveyard.
Spreading Seas: Stalling card with draw effect, useful vs. tron or any deck with tight manapool of certain (non-blue colours).
Stony Silence: Artifact hate, comes in vs. Affinity and tron.
Supreme Verdict: Unstopable Board clear against dudes and dudetttes who like to flood the board with stuff.
Timely Reinforcements: Life-saver vs. burn or other fast aggro decks.
Torpor Orb : Good vs. Twin and flicker decks.
