For your consideration: Elder of Laurels . You can replace Might of the Masses for that. Granted it costs 3/G vice G, but you're going to get to use it more than once.

Excellent suggestions, considering i have very little card draw, but what I really need is suggestions on what to take out. As of now, I am still 36 cards over the limit for this format, and cutting cards is always the hardest thing for me, because I obviously picked all these cards for a reason, and they all have a place. But I appreciate the advice and might even put Mind's Eye in there when i have opened up more spots.

You are going to want all of your cards to have some kind of versatility or utility. Some of the cards are interesting but just aren't as good late game when you have Kaalia of the Vast swinging at you every turn throwing down fatties or a double-striking, trampling Rafiq of the Many running over all your opponents.

  • If you keep all you lifegain stuff I would drop Arbiter of Knollridge . It will end up helping your opponents.
  • I would cut Kazandu Tuskcaller . What would you think of it if it was just a 1/1 with that ability but cost 14 mana? If you think about it, that's exactly what it is.
  • I would also cut Spawnwrithe . It is very slow token production and isn't very likely to get through.

There are a lot of cuts you could make. I would start by taking out some of the one-shot token producers that cost a lot of mana. You only need one or two in the whole deck because you aren't going to want them stuck in your hand all game. Otherwise, I would remove some of the cards that are really only there to gain life. While life-gain can be fun, it only stalls the game. In my experience, lifegain doesn't win games.

Thank you for the comment Kirtanian, and thank you for for knocking some sense into this deck. I really only put Arbiter of Knollridge into the deck for funsies, the way i see it, I want to be able to amass a big token army and swing on everybody, and it just wouldn't be fun if all my opponents killed each other off before I had a chance to :D.

I am going to remove some lifegain and when you put it that way, Kazandu Tuskcaller is terrible. Just awful. Level up is such a trickster. I also thought Spawnwrithe would be pretty good, but it is not as good as other things in here already and I need to make cuts.

Once again, thank you for the comment!

Oh, dang... so many cuts... Just 9 more left. To think i started with nearly 200 cards. I might cut some land but I would love some suggestions!

I wouldn't recommend cutting any land. Since you have no real ramp at the moment and 35 is on the low side of average for land count.

If you can find a way to make some more cuts I would recommend some Cultivate , Kodama's Reach and maybe Yavimaya Elder to make sure you have plenty of land when you need it.

Here's my recommended cuts:

-Roaring Primadox you have many better cards that are flickering. He is making you pay for the same cards over and over again.

-Angel of Serenity as awesome as it would be to combo her with Conjurer's Closet , that's a very specific combo.

-Terastodon what three non-creature permanents are you going to destroy to give yourself those tokens? Otherwise you're giving your opponents tokens.

-Sprouting Phytohydra it's a 0/2 defender for five. Assuming you have all your token buffs in play, the original card is still a 0/2. For five.

-Acidic Slime you have no way of copying it, so it really has no purpose in the deck other than deathtouch, which Hornet Queen does way better, and artifact and enchantment hate, which you have lots of already.

There's five I can see right away, anything else, I would really have to think about.

Within our playgroup, we allow certain unglued/unhinged cards, just to add some lol's to the game.

Saucy said it best. I can't wait to put this deck in cardboard. hopefully it doesn't suck.

Illusionist's Bracers wouldn't let you activate Rhys' ability twice as its a mana ability, if that's what your implying. It'd still work with a whole bunch of the other abilities though.

I misunderstood the meaning of the term "mana ability" as well, until someone else explained it to me. A "mana ability" is an ability that creates mana such as Birds of Paradise 's ability. a BoP with Illusionist's Bracers still only creates one mana, whereas Rhys the Redeemed 's first ability, although it has a mana cost, would create 2 elf warriors if he were equipped with bracers.

Wot? You're meaning to say the internet lied to me? Curses! Foiled again! In that case, epically awesome. I attempted to playtest a deck almost exactly like this of my own Selesnya's Legion

I gave up once I realized the game would never end and I ran out of screen space. Btw, I totally stole some cards from your deck lol - now including the bracers.
