“Puckaw!”

Deck:

An off-kilter control deck starring Porcuparrot that plays a mutant/tower-defense strategy to grind and wear out your opponent with mutate abilities as you chip away at their life total with creatures whilst gaining life.

Tap a mutated Porcuparrot with deathtouch to destroy your opponents biggest threats on the battlefield, bounce them back to your opponents hand using Pouncing Shoreshark or make them sacrifice their creatures using Chittering Harvester.

Creatures:

Plainswalkers:

  • Davriel, Rogue Shadowmage (discard, damage to opponent)
  • Vraska, Swarm's Eminence (1/1 deathtouch creature token generator, +1/+1 counter generator). This is card gives creatures with deathtouch an added layer of depth during your combat phase that favors an aggro strategy as it sets you up for the midgame via +1/+1 counter buffs. When playing against deathtouch, an opponent needs to strategically play the game knowing whatever creatures they block with they will lose or trade 1:1. With this planeswalker on the battlefield, if they decide to leave an attacker unblocked, that creature gets a +1/+1 counter and thus becomes a bigger problem the next turn.
