Control has taken a new twist with return to Zendicar. With the arrival of the awaken mechanic, i believe it is now viable to commit a total of 0 cards as win cons. We can now use every card in our deck to control the game and rely on awaken to close the game out.

After testing the deck on xmage I'm fairly impressed. It runs a lot better than I had anticipated. I feel like the format slowed down a bit because we have a fairly easy time getting to the mid to late game where we can control things easily. One thing I noticed right away is that we get hosed my man lands. I died to a shambling vent with 8 ways to kill a creature that last turn at sorcery speed.

With that in mind I brought in 4 stasis and 2 cuts. These will both kill man lands and I think will improve the deck expenentually (even though I'm not a fan of enchantment removal).
