Post-Rotation Mardu Rush

Standard*

Crovo717

The idea of the deck is to be very agressive. This deck does not want to go over the top, it wants to go underneath the opponent.

So what we want to see in almost all of our opening hands is: 3 Creatures that cost 1 mana 1 Mardu Ascendancy 3 Lands -These draws provide for attacking for 2 on turn 2 and then for 9 on turn 3! That puts them down to 9 on the third turn of the game, while you have protection from any damage or -x/-x based removal.

Even though it would be great if we could have draws like that every game, it is not realistic that this happens, so we need to have other ways to win. I've included Butcher of the Horde and Tymaret, the Murder King to punch through the final points of damage.

There is great synergy between both of these sacrifice effects and Mardu Ascendancy, Rabblemaster, and Bloodsoaked Champion. Tymaret and his abilities will only come up when the game is at a stall, and your opponent is attempting to stabilize. You can slowly whittle away at what's left of their life total for 2-4 mana a turn.
