Post standstill

Legacy* 12-post

I've been playing around with adding standstill to titan post. A friend suggested trying it out to improve the burn, delver, and eldrazi matchups. I was extremely skeptical at first, but it works better than I thought it would. I'm still not quite sure what I think of this yet, but I do think I'll playtest it a bit more.

A few comments:

1) You're often forced to break your own standstill with this. The idea is to slow things down enough that when you break standstill, you can do something uncounterable and game-ending. This sounds like a terrible plan at first glance, but in practice, it actually seems to work fairly well (so far).

2) To fit this package in, I've cut a lot of cards that normally would be key. First off, there are no brainstorms. This may be a mistake, especially with the omni build. However, if you're running 4 standstills, brainstorms are less useful. To compensate, I'm running a full playset of tops to ensure I can get a top out turn 1 for card filtering behind a standstill. Second, I'm only running three titans and am running a Platinum Emperion in place of the 4th titan. This is mostly a metagame call. Emperion is great against eldrazi, burn, and storm. Finally, I'm only running three crop rotations. This version is definitely weaker to wastelands than a non-standstill build. However, crop rotation is less useful behind standstill than it would be normally. I'm running three needles to compensate. I'm not sure about this decision yet.

3) I'm running a singleton Maze of Ith and Boseiju in addition to the "usual" utility lands that post runs. Maze of Ith is a fantastic land to draw into behind an early standstill. I think it's worth it. However, it's one of the pieces I'm least sure of. Boseiju is there for uncounterable show and tells. As a singleton card with no expedition maps in the build, it may or may not be worth it.

The entire thing is an experiment, but I've been happier than I thought I would be with it so far.

P.S. For a cutesy name: "Omni, Stills, and Post". Yeah, groan away.
