Yea that was definitely a card I was thinking about cutting but I was not sure what to cut it for. I will probably go up to 22 lands, I don't know if I can go up to 23 though. It seems like I will be drawing too many lands when I don't need them which is hopefully after turn 3 or 4. Nothing is above CMC 3 in the deck even if a lot of it has multiple instances of white.

Path of Bravery is a great card, but your only lifegain is Fiendslayer Paladin . If you want good lifegain use Well for one mana its really good.

Never mind. I just noticed it's second ability. Holy Shit. lol

Yeah you tend to just need creatures out to get that card working hard for you. This deck has no shortage of those, hah.

Yeah I really like it! I may have to get a few of those, I run selesnya lifegain and that is an amazing card for my deck! :)

drop the paths, up the pacifisms. make celestial flare a sideboard...what if you play someone who isn't playing a whole lot of creatures....dead card in hand. Id have 4 brave, 3 pacifism, and throw thalia in there. she'll jam up anyone playing control for a bit....and since you don't have a lot of noncreature spells she wont hurt you too much. Precinct Captain is invaluable in this deck... a 2/2 first striker who makes dudes...
August 21, 2013 11:29 a.m.
Well I will take the advice on the Celestial flare and side them and put in more pacifism. I cannot use Thalia however because she is from Innistrad block, I also cannot see dropping Path of Bravery. I do really want to fit in Precinct Captain but I am not sure how to do it yet, I will try and figure it out.

The paths are great in this deck mainly for its second ability. it basically gives every creature lifelink for 1 damage.
August 21, 2013 11:59 a.m.
Yea that is what I figured too, I don't think I could bring myself to remove them.

this is my list...i hit top 4 twice at my fnm with it, then some of the more competitive players adjusted their decks to beat it....so I adjusted to an orzhov list which i top 4ed with last week, and top 4d at game day with.

Looks good! Only change I would make is swap in a fiendslayer paladin to take out a brave the elements. Other than for an alpha strike against a deck that has only one colored creature on the board, or against mission mortars (which you have other answers for anyways), I don't see too many situations that I'd want the spell instead of such an awesome creature.

Mizzium mortars. And I think a precinct captain would be better for the mana curve.
August 24, 2013 4:14 p.m.
Alright thanks for the tip. I still do like brave though since it seems to come in handy when you least expect it. I may swap one out for another fiendslayer.
August 24, 2013 6:52 p.m.
Is your meta so full of graveyard manipulation that you need Dryad Militant mainboard? If not, I'd suggest swapping it out for something a little stronger. I like Serra Avenger or Doomed Traveler .
August 27, 2013 noon
Doomed Traveler is from innistrad block. Serra avenger is a two drop?
August 27, 2013 12:10 p.m.
I'm really digging this. Id go ahead and run Banisher Priest mainboard and take out the soverigns. Move those to the side board. Cut a few one drops and just run a playset of Boros Recruit and Soulmender . Archangel of Thune would be a great finisher if you w anted to up your land a little. The new ajani would work good too
August 27, 2013 5:39 p.m.
I have seriously considered trying to get the archangel in there. I just hate trying to add more lands because I feel like I am going the opposite direction with the deck. I can't run boros recruit because I use the deck for standard play at my local. Soulmender is not bad either but I would only put him in if I put the archangel in. I did originally main banisher priest but she got sided in while trying to smooth out the curve. She may get main boarded once again though.

I was looking at a Doomed Traveler from Sorin vs Tibalt - didn't notice it was really an Innistrad card. I only suggested it since I was talking about replacing a one drop. Serra Avenger is probably a much better card for you, anyway. Yes, it's a 2 drop that can only be played turn 4 or later - but realistically, how often are you using all 9 one drop creatures?

Why can't you play Boros Recruit ? It's standard legal. Also you could consider something like this Selesnya Weenie Walkers
August 28, 2013 6:15 p.m.
The Recruit isn't standard. Boros Elite is, which is what I meant.
August 28, 2013 6:19 p.m.
TheHazzaRd No. Boros Elite is standard legal. Boros Recruit is from original ravnica.
August 28, 2013 6:19 p.m.
Lol at the Boros Recruit. Also the point of the deck is to not use anything rotating out with Theros, Innistrad block that also includes M13. It is also supposed to be as mono white as possible. These are the constraints I placed on the deck when I created it. Thanks for the input though.

I dont think Renounce the Guilds is particularly strong in this deck. You don't want to blow up your own Reckoner. And even with such a low curve, 21 lands seems a bit light, particularly because your curve is so white-intensive and you're running 4x Mutavault . My suggestion is find better removal and up the land count to 22, if not 23.
