This deck focuses on the ability exalted. Getting out lots of exalted creatures while attacking with a single creature is the key.
Important cards to note:
Cathedral of War
- very hard to remove and once in play its exalted effect will play a major part in powering up you attacking creature each turn. Multiple out at the same time simply boosts its affect.
Tormented Soul
- This card combos well with exalted. As an unblockable creature attacking each turn with it is a good option. Your opponent has no say in blocking it at all which can lead to quick and heavy damage.
Knight of Glory
/
Knight of Infamy
- These are both fantastic cards for their CMC as well as the abilities you recieve. The most important thing is abusing their protection of black and white respectively as this can help eliminate the opponents options for blocking. As well as this the exalted effect adds to the power of the attacking creature.
Nefarox, Overlord of Grixis - Only using 2 of this big guy in the deck. With a relatively high CMC it is pretty much in here as a finisher. A flyer with exalted and its exclusive ability, Whenever Nefarox, Overlord of Grixis attacks alone, defending player sacrifices a creature. offers a good finisher.
Sublime Archangel - For its relatively cheap CMC this card is an obvious choice for an exalted deck. As most cards in the deck have exalted this card simply doubles the effect each card can give and hence creating creatures which will pretty much win every time in attacking combat.
All in all a very powerful offensive deck. The only issue is defense and staying alive in time to kill your opponents. The only cards able to gain life in this deck are Vampire Nighthawk and
Swift Justice
. Hopefully these two cards will give an option for good lifegain to keep this relatively slow deck in the game. Any option or suggestions are greatly appreciated in regards to this and for the sideboard.
