Lifegain, counters, big defenders.

I wanted to build a deck that made it difficult for anyone to want to attack me. With the right abilities, all those giant defenders then become formidable attackers.

I'm still new to Magic, so I'm open to suggestions! I've won a few games with this deck, but that could very well be because my friends are more experienced and tend to target each other first.
