i have always been a fan of Rakdos decks. This one looks to be good. Maybe add some more instant burn like Pillar of Flame . I don't know, might be fine the way it is.

Azunik_Akar- Thanks man. I don't think I need more burn though. The Magma Jet 's are a nice combat trick, but they're there more for the scry than anything seeing that I usually need either an extra land or creature to go with my opening hand, and taking out an Elvish Mystic or dealing a bit of damage to my opponent in the process is always nice.

im usually not a fan of aggro builds but i really like this one for some reason lol
+1 :)

Looks more like a midrange beatdown to me. Aggro typically has a ton of creatures that cost 1 or 2, with maybe a few that cost 3, a very small mana base, and a fair amount of cheap burn spells. I'm not saying you need to change it, just that if you really want to go all-out aggro you should be aiming to win by turn 4, if not turn 3 (Admittedly I haven't been following the current standard, and I'm vaguely aware they slowed it down a bit, but I remember there were a few possible turn 3 kills in Innistrad / RTR.)

On paper it looks midrange, but it isn't.
I played against this exact deck last FNM (not his) and the dude consistently got Underworld Cerberus or Stormbreath Dragon out on turn 3. It was stupid.

I see how Generator Servant enables that; I didn't have that kind of luck during play-testing, but I didn't do that many tests. I'd usually get Thoughtseize Brain Maggot and / or Dreadbore while waiting for the Generator Servant or 5 mana. Which is certainly powerful whatever you call it.

My deck is similar to this but I use Spike Jester and Madcap Skills with Goblin Rabblemaster but the funniest card I've tested with Generator Servant is Master of Cruelties of course game 2 you will side him out because that is a 1 game slap in the face play. I recommend trying it out haha

Brain Maggot doesn't really fit in rakdos aggro. You need some fast 1 drop creatures.
August 14, 2014 11:17 a.m.
Saljen- I'm open to suggestions, but brain maggot is in as a 3 of to add more hand disruption to the deck. Do you think I need another creature like Impetuous Sunchaser in the slot? Or would a few Lightning Strike 's be better?
August 14, 2014 12:24 p.m.
have you tried Master of Cruelties ? It would open you up to turn 4 win potential.... however unlikely
August 14, 2014 3:08 p.m.
AHA! Great idea for actually playing with Underworld Cerberus !! And if he dies your generator just comes back HAHAHAHHAHAA
+1 my friend. I applaud your design here.
August 14, 2014 3:45 p.m.
jchudz- I'll have to pass on the master, seeing as it is easily blocked, and it's not very consistent...
failedshaman- Chandra's Phoenix is in the deck because it is a turn 3 hasty flier that can keep coming back for when I'm playing any decks with board-wipes (like U/W control w/ Supreme Verdict ).
jraynor- Thanks man! I didn't come up with the idea, but it was too good to pass up!
August 14, 2014 4:10 p.m.
Yeah man! I have BOTH those cards and wanted to use em both too and somehow didn't notice the combination. I was using the cerberus in a 5 color deck and it wasn't working out and the generator in a boros deck and it wasn't working out and I was stymied because I like both cards so much. NOW I KNOW WHAT TO DO! Hahahahhaha

Chandra's Phoenix won't come back a lot of the time in this deck. It will often just stay dead. Your only burn spell is Magma Jet . There will be a lot of times when you'd rather target an opponent's creature with magma jet but you can't get the phoenix back unless you target the opponent.
Also, don't you want a hasty Underworld Cerberus on turn 3 instead of a phoenix?

Brain Maggot needs to stay in the deck as it is hand disruption for kill spells or removal enchantments.

I tested this against my Grixis Walkers deck (below) and your deck won two out of three games! I didn't use any sideboards, though. A turn 3 Underworld Cerberus or Stormbreath Dragon was a bit too much for my deck to keep up with. Nice deck, +1 from me!

Thanks Gorgosaurusrex! This deck was made to outpace most decks.
Just an FYI for everyone, I will be playing this deck at FNM tonight, although I am missing 4x Scuttling Doom Engine for the sideboard. It isn't a deal-breaker though, because they are largely for control match-ups.
Again, I want to say a big 'Thank you' to everyone who took time out of their day to comment, upvote, or even just take a look at the deck! I'll be posting the tonight's FNM results early tomorrow morning!

I playtested this against my deck, Gold Blood Coins. My deck has a fair deal of burn/life gain in it and as such was able to whittle yours down before it really got going. As such, I'd recommend a heavy sideboard against burn and some lower cost creatures to keep you in the game longer.

You may want to fix the win results. As they stand it appears that you went undefeated.

Why are you running Temple of Malady ? I think you meant Temple of Malice .
