Green has some pretty good draw possibilities. You have the library already. Greater Good , Recycle are very good engines.

I think you are short 5-8 lands, and a little lacking in ramp here. Skyshroud Claim , Cultivate , Kodama's Reach are things I would add at a bare min.

Try taking your commander out, and seeing how your deck runs. You deck looks a little too dependent on your commander. How do you protect, and run when you face removal, and control?

Even without Yisan the deck jams along as for removal in my circles there isnt a ton and Sylvan Safekeeper can take care of it. Using Extraplanar Lens or Vernal Bloom typically allows me to out pace the land sacing. Also those cards tend to make often appearances. There is several tutor outlets in the deck and depending on what stage the game is in I can typically find a creature to suit the situation. The only issues I've really had are being the target of table hate where 3+ players target me

Run Snow-Covered Forest if you're going to run Extraplanar Lens.

have you considered running Birthing Pod?? i would take out a dead finisher like Overwhelming Stampede for it in a heartbeat

also your deck NEEDS a Terastodon and could benefit from a Concordant Crossroads

November 30, 2014 9:55 p.m.

@ DarkAnthem I have thought about birthing pod but there was rarely a time when I had something on the field worth sacing. Overwhelming Stampede is actually a blowout card as well I have used it to swing in the 100s on several occasions. As far as Terastodon goes I'm not sure what to cut for it/ is giving an opponent an elephant worth it?

Overwhelming Stampede - as much as we all love dealing 100 damage in a swing, we all one day realize three things: 1. That your opponents rarely have over 40 life and thus we rarely need to deal more than 40 damage over the coarse of the GAME to win (even in multiplayer) 2. That Overwhelming Stampede only benefits gameplay when you already have a critical mass of creatures and should be able to win without it 3. That on any other occasion it is a dead card in your hand that could be better utilized if it were almost anything else All in all its your choice, but it is not worth keeping in. Terastodon - one of the best green creatures in edh. Period. Here's why: 1. It blows out your opponent's pesky lands, artifacts, enchantments, and planeswalkers 2. It is a proven fact that upon the resolution of a Terastodon 36.2% of edh players scoop and the rest lose in the next 2 turns 3. Giving your opponents some 3/3s never matters for shit since your opponents also just lost everything they built up and plus 3/3s are dead in the water again your 9/9 Terastodon Just my thoughts

You should really run Snow-Covered forests if you're using Extraplanar. I don't know how many green decks you play, but any good green deck would love for you to use that Extraplanar Lens on a forest.

In my play groups Its typical to get blown out if you Agro too fast. Extraplanar lens with forest gets me ahead nicely but is group hug enough for at least one other person that it doesn't make me the prime target for the entire board.

every green deck i run into i suggest Creeping Renaissance for how much value it gives you. and maybe Contagion Engine, Contagion Clasp, i have always been impressed by Illusionist's Bracers

the cool thing about bracers is that adding a counter is part of the cost meaning that if you have yisan at 3 and you activate it then both triggers go on the stack, but adding the counter is a cost to activate, meaning you get 2 5-drops instead of a 4 and a 5

It isn't out yet but I believe Shamanic Revelation is an auto-include once it comes out.

Not any pro or anything but I have been running a Momir Vig, Simic Visionary commander deck for a while that has the ability to make your library "open book" as I call it. For this reason I play almost all creatures to search out, similar to how your commander can find whatever creature you like. I'll suggest some creatures that may be worthwhile to swap into your deck...

I would look at Rooting Kavu as no opponent in the later game is really going to want to let you recycle (and replay from the library) the cards they worked so hard on destroying. You will either

A) tax out a hefty removal or control tool

B) have an intimidating creature that can swing recklessly for the sake of damage or the death trigger.

Another great one that just seems so perfect for field protection (and debuffing) would be Archetype of Endurance. I'm about to add him to my deck myself, as he is worthwhile even for his high cost. For you, this means your now an intimidate at five verse counters via Bellowing Tanglewurm that rolls into a hexproof intimidate by eight verses. with one mana per turn and dedicated verse stacking, that puts your army at near godly state by turn eleven. If you want some early protection, look into Oak Street Innkeeper for a turn six defensive hexproof field buff.

and while its on the table, why even deal with intimidate. Siege Behemoth can be coaxed out with Mwonvuli Beast Tracker, making him a worthy candidate. In the end its a higher drop, but it makes everyone unblockable that is attacking. And of course nothing can stop it because it's hexproof and can't even be blocked by deathtouch. Talk about finishing power

Also thumbs up to fadelightningmm for his Sylvan Safekeeper. First verse counter can put a protector on the field. Ya you have to take a hit to the land, but in all honesty its worth it if you have a high stack of verses weighing down your bard

Hope any of these help or maybe inspire even better additions (as I said I'm no pro...)

oh missed the the siege that's already in your deck...

January 6, 2015 4:15 p.m.

@ backlotoceans I had the Oak Street Innkeeper for the longest time but it never panned out. Boardwipes are bigger than spot removal in my play group. That is a similar reason why I don't use the archetype that and Craterhoof Behemoth is a game winning 8 verse.

The kavu is something to look into I didn't know that one existed. Also I'm glad you appreciate the Sylvan Safekeeper when I saw it I knew it deserved a home here
