Based on my Argothian 10-Land Stompy! deck for Legacy. Modified to the Premodern format, which uses just cards from 4th to Scourge.
A brief story about my Green Stompy
It was 1999 or 2000. Me and my pals used to play with (VERY) casual decks: Mono blue ones full of counterspells, Elves, Rebels and poorly made Slight decks. Someday, a dude came out with this classic competitive deck of an older brother and completely shattered ours! Since then, I admire this kind of "ye olde stompy" build.
From that day on, I always tried to make my own Mono Green Stompy deck. My experience playing with this kind of archetypes on casual play is very great at first turns, but quickly you run out of cards in your hand, so if you don't push hard enough during the early game, you're lost!
So, how we can draw cards with green and keep your hand refreshing? That's why I came with the idea of using Argothian Enchantress and abuse of the classical creature-pump enchantments of this deck, like Rancor or Briar Shield. Then I replace cards like Giant Growth with Seal of Strength to use more aura cards.
Then I add a few control besides Winter Orb, adding Concordant Crossroads and Root Maze. The maze doesn't sinergy well with Quirion Ranger, so I replace it with Mana Dorks.
I'm having trouble inserting Elvish Lyrist or Skyshroud Elite. Can't decide who can I take out.
