As part of the new nostalgia-infused premodern starter deck series, this will be the fatty-friendly green component of the mono-colored lineup. I can't take credit for this concept, as WotC has designed their free "Welcome Decks" using some of the same strategies I've employed here.
This deck aims to solve its problems in a pretty linear way; just have more creatures than the opposition, and ones of much higher quality. To compound the aggressive approach even further, there's a few pieces of ramp sprinkled in the deck to allow this strategy to go into effect quickly. However, this strength comes at a cost; the deck doesn't feature a lot of removal and once its primary game plan has been derailed, there's not a lot of ways to outdo the other decks that have card advantage at their disposal.
As always, the price point on the deck is one of the major brewing factors, and as such, the power level of the cards has been reduced to meet it (or) the cards found in the brew are existing ones that I already had lying around, and are still not overly powerful.
The final stipulation that I wanted to build around was each card in this mini 30-card deck could only appear as a singleton. I've gone with with approach because I love to foster games that feel different each time you play, which can do a lot to make new players excited about the format. Lastly, the fact that the deck remains only 30 cards keeps it easy to shuffle for younger, "learning how to shuffle" hands.
