Sideboard

This deck started life as a blue/white enchantment deck made in the Theros block, and was the second deck I ever made. After Theros rotated out of standard the deck was left to gather dust for many months, but then I discovered Bogles. In case you didn't know, Bogles (aka enchantments) is one of the four super-fast aggro decks that are played in modern the others being Infect, Tron, and Burn. The way it works is you play a creature with hexproof and just attach as many enchantments as possible to it which will turn it into an unstoppable monstrosity. Here's what I mean.

Your Vessels:

  • Slippery Bogle : Being the deck's namesake, this card is the bread and butter of any enchantment deck since you can stack it up with enchants without any fear of your opponent killing it with cheap removal whcih will always exist in modern.
  • Kor Spiritdancer : This gives you a very reliable source of card draw and can chain into more enchantments which you can keep playing as long as you have mana. It also works as a viable enchantment vessel but it is weak to cheap removal.
  • Gladecover Scout : Any cheap creature that comes with hexproof is welcome here.

Enchants:

  • Daybreak Coronet: This is the most important enchantment in the entire deck because of how much it offers and it only costs 2 mana.
  • Rancor: The card is already good because of it costing only 1 mana and giving trample, but it also has the benefit of being incredibly hard to get rid of.
  • Ethereal Armor: This enchantment scales off of your other enchants and can make your dudes exponentially stronger.
  • Spider Umbra /Hyena Umbra: This card gives a 1-time use indestructible to whatever you put it on, very helpful.
  • Spirit Mantle: This enchant guarantees that you get your damage through, and it makes your hexproof creature even more unkillable than they already are.
  • Open the Armory : This is your toolbox card, and it allows you to grab whatever you may need depending on what you have in your hand.

Sideboard:

Alright, let's talk about boarding. If you're fighting a burn deck or something that relies on attacking your hand then swap in the 4 Leyline of Sanctity , Qasali Pridemage is there for the mirror, Sphere of Safety is probably the ultimate prison spell against decks that like to go wide, for those annoying artifacts swap in Stony Silence and Suppression Field , Rest in Peace for whenever they try some graveyard shenanigans, and Sigarda, Host of Herons is there for if you need a big body that is nearly impossible to kill.

Words of Wisdom:

This is an extremely consistent deck that is relatively easy to pilot, but you should be expecting your opponents to have something in their sideboard involving artifact/enchantment hate with Nature's Claim being one of the most common, and since you rely on hexproof being your main defense for your creatures you are still weak to board wipes, hand disruption, and sac engines (Fear the Liliana of the Veil).
