Okay, read the excellent descript of this deck, going to play test it against one of mine and I'll post the results.

To get the best results, I did restart ur deck a few times to make sure u had more than 1 mana in hand.

T1 Soul's Attendant / Typhoid Rats T2 2x Martyr of Sands +2, -1 (21) / Typhoid Rats + Piranha Marsh , rats traded out 1 of the martyrs.T3 Drew a Plains Path to Exile d the rats/ attacked for 2 unblocked. -2 (19) / -2 (18). +1 Piranha Marsh + Geth's Verdict ed out the other Martyr of Sands .T4 Kabira Crossroads + SA dealt -1 unblocked. +2 (21) / +1 (19) Tribute to Hunger took out SA. Both boards empty with little in hand.T5 Serra Ascendant / Drew a Swamp , played Grave Pact T6 Squadron Hawk + 3 in hand + gave him Lifelink Serra Ascendant attacked. +1 (22) / Rats on the board again. -1 (18)T7 Crossroads + 1, Hawk attacked + 2 more on the board +3 -1 (24) / Tributed out a hawk. Rats attacked unblocked. +1 (19)T8 +1 Hawk + Ascendant + 3 unblocked damage. +2 (26) / Drew a SwampT9 Pathed out the rats for 5 unblocked. +3 (29) / Sheoldred, Whispering One on the board. hand empty. T10 Soul's Attendant on the board, sacrificed a hawk. Remaining hawks attacked. / Phyrexian Arena + Revived rats, Sheoldred attacking. Blocked by an ascendant.T11 +Serra Ascendant but sacrificed the old one. + Phyrexian Metamorph as a copy of Soul's Attendant , hawks attacked. +1 -4 (23) / Mortician Beetle + Geth's Verdict put down another hawk down. + revived another Typhoid Rats , Sheoldred + a rat attack. SA taken out, rats go unblocked. -3 (16)T12 Ajani's Pridemate out + last hawk attacks. +2 -2 (24) metamorph sacrificed (hand empty) / Skirsdag High Priest + Phyrexian Obliterator + revived last rats in the graveyard. 2x rats + a 3/3 beetle + Sheoldred attack. Ajani's Pridemate is all that's left, rats go unblocked -2 (14).T13 Drew a Plains a 4/4 Anji's Pridemate is holding down the fort. Until he is sacrificed.-18 (6) / Swarmyard + Crypt Ghast + attacking with everything. T14 Ajani Goldmane +2 (8) / Drew only land + attacking with full force. = Win.

After playing it, I can honestly say, it's super strong and very effective. Only downfall is it needs more card draw and some type of revival for late game when resources are running low.

+1

Here's my deck if u wanna run it back. W vs B Sheoldred, Whispering One -†-BLΔCK-†- SΔCR‡F‡C3

APPLE01DOJ: Thanks for the in-depth playtest review! As far as revival/card draw goes, my top option is Ranger of Eos , a powerful card in this deck; I'd just have to decide what cards to take out for him. I'd run him as a two-of, any suggestions for what two cards would be taken out would be appreciated.

Well it has a high mana cost, I would say by the time u really need it u should be able to cast it like nothing. Staff of Nin might be a better addition.

I just play-tested this against my Mono U Tron deck. I won't go as in-depth as our above friend, but here's how it went:

Early-game counterspells such as Remand and Condescend from Tron smashed any attempt at life-gain and I was able to stall until turn 5. This let only small creatures such as Soul Warden and Martyr of Sands hit the board. I hard-casted an Oblivion Stone in the hopes I might be able to use its 5-cost the next turn, but was stopped by the ever-pesky Leonin Relic-Warder . The following turn I brought out a Wurmcoil Engine , which was dispatched by a Path to Exile . On turn 7, Soul Sisters ran out of answers, though. Karn Liberated hit the field, followed by a Sundering Titan . I was eventually able to make the game unwinnable for Soul Sisters by threatening my Oblivion Stone - which I got back, courtesy of Karns -3 - gobbled up some land with Karn's ult and restarted the game. At this point I said GG, because there's no coming back from that.

Hope this helped. (I only played one game because it took quite a while, lol.)

Gobbled up some land with the -3 and used Karns ult to restart the game* sorry

APPLE01DOJ: Staff of Nin is good, but it doesn't have as much synergy with the deck. Ranger of Eos has the advantage of being a creature and allows me to search for two specific cards as opposed to drawing off the top like Staff of Nin . Also, 6 CMC is a little heavy for an aggressive land base like this deck has.

Skulldrey: Yeah, Tron is a tricky one for this deck, I'm usually an underdog game one but post sideboard, I can play a much stronger game. I'm not too worried though, since nobody in my meta plays Tron.

I have been playing an all white soul sisters online with some success.. Have you thought about maybe adding 1 or 2 Immortal Servitude great for late game and can really pump up an Ajani's Pridemate if bringing back some of the sisters. Just a thought, plus +1!

bslane82: Are they mainboard or sideboard? If they're mainboard, I might be willing to test them in place of Spirit Loop , but I'm pretty set with my sideboard.

I have been running 2 main board as have seen good success with it.. Especially against decks running Oblivion Stone or other board wipes.

Just a suggestion, maybe there is some use in Cloudshift ? A really cheap card that can be used either to protect your monsters or to get the extra life

Nox.LD says... #12

Tisame: It has some synergy with the deck, just not enough to make it worth a spot.

Are you going to add some of the M14 cards? Path of Bravery sounds quite nice, as does Fiendslayer Paladin as a sideboard card.(Path wont link, don't ask me why)

July 12, 2013 5:19 a.m.

Nox.LD says... #14

C7081: I'm actually going to try to get ahold of 2 Path of Bravery at my prerelease tomorrow, and if I could find room for it, Fiendslayer Paladin could definitely be at home in my sideboard. I'm going to change my deck to the more common aggro build of Soul Sisters when I get the new cards with the only change being -2 Honor of the Pure and +2 Path of Bravery.

Looks a pretty solid Soul Sisters deck. The only card that stands out as unusual is Path. Can you tell me how Path of Bravery gets on for you?

+1 and I'll use this to show people a proper soul sisters deck

LeaPlath: Most of the time my creatures will be getting the +1/+1 since I'm a lifegain deck, and it also allows me to continually gain life when I attack if I'm on my heels. In most situations like that, I'd probably swing in with the flyers since 1. They usually will be unblocked and 2. They aren't very good blockers.

What do you think of Mentor of the Meek ? With all the little weenies he'll fill your hand, or at least draw out some removal.

July 15, 2013 6:51 p.m.

Nox.LD says... #18

jminute14: The problem with Mentor of the Meek is he's a higher costed card and I'd like to keep my curve as low as possible. I think Ranger of Eos fills that position better, just because you get to pick what you're getting.

July 15, 2013 9:46 p.m.

MindAblaze says... #19

Fair enough, I use him in conjunction with Emeria Angel so as long as I'm dropping lands I'm drawing lots. The ranger is hard to argue against

Looks like a typical martyr life gain deck to me

July 17, 2013 10:14 p.m.

I think Auriok Champion is a better fit than Fiendslayer Paladin . Also why Grafdigger's Cage when you could run Rest in Peace ?

July 18, 2013 7:54 p.m.

Nox.LD says... #22

someponyonfire: The only issue with Auriok Champion is the price tag. And I actually have been meaning to change Grafdigger's Cage to Rest in Peace .

+1 love the deck. Some suggestions, don't know if they will be helpful and I also realize the curve but here they are anyway :P

Rhox Faithmender

Ajani, Caller of the Pride

Ajani Goldmane

Rhox would just possibly put the game out of your opponents reach, however turn 4 it may or may not be useful.

Ajani caller of the pride to give your Serra Ascendant double strike? :D

And big ajani is just awesome and could end the game fully with his ultimate :)

July 22, 2013 9:42 a.m.

Nox.LD says... #24

cry3tic: I originally had Ajani Goldmane in here, but his risk outweighed his reward and I decided that if I were ever to add a planeswalker in here, it would be Elspeth, Knight-Errant . I've also done testing with Rhox Faithmender in here and he's done well, but I don't think I'll add him unless I shift to a slower version of Soul Sisters.

July 22, 2013 11:10 a.m.

cry3tic says... #25

I've conversed with some people about Rhox, seems like he only shines against control type decks. And yea I actually would run Elspeth as well, much better.
