Primal Devotion CAST YOUR DECK ON T3

Modern Combo Competitive Eldrazi Enchantment Mono-Green Ramp

limpNuZZle

Sideboard

Ok, so I really don't know how this deck wins so much... But here is how I started. First off, I love eldrazi... I love ramping, and I love drawing cards. Don't let the color scheme fool you. This deck does all three! The mono green devotion ramp shell is there in the form of Garruk Wildspeaker, Arbor Elf, Utopia Sprawl, and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx However, I wanted to run Primal Surge because that card is insane... seriously, just read it. In order to maximize the efficiency of the surge, I run two non-permanents and they are, in fact two copies of Primal Surge.

In doing so, I have removed much of the utility that green devotion utilizes in the form of Tooth and Nail, Primal Command, etc. So these slots being freed up opened up room for an entire enchantment engine that provides card draw, devotion to green, and supports the permanent theme all at the same time! VALUE!

This deck is surprisingly resilient and even more surprisingly consistent. Control does not hurt as much as you'd think because we usually top deck very well once the fetch lands do some thinning and the enchants do their magic. Additionally, it is very common to just hard cast Emrakul, the Aeons Torn or Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger. But in the event that control is getting your goat, check out the island hate in the sideboard.

The rest of the SB is aimed at graveyard hate and burn matches. The burn game is strong in games two and three. Bring in as much life gain as you feel.

Any suggestions welcome. Mainly just have fun bc this deck is relentless. The draw triggers get nuts once you stick a surge for about 20-30 permantents off the top of your deck.

*UPDATE*

THANK YOU! I have already gotten some great tips in the first few hours of posting the deck! To combat infect, I added Melira, Sylvok Outcast to the side board.

I was play testing this morning and this is what happened haha.. This is a regular sequence with this deck...

T3 WIN:

Starting hand, on the draw

Wooded Foothills, Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Utopia Sprawl, Arbor Elf, Courser of Kruphix, Eidolon of Blossoms, Garruk Wildspeaker, Primal Surge.... GO

T1 Wooded Foothills fetching Forest, Arbor Elf pass turn.

T2 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, tap Forest to enchant it with Utopia Sprawl, untap forest with Arbor Elf, tap Forest and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx to play Courser of Kruphix, revealing a Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx on top, pass turn.

T3 Tap Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and Forest for 4 and cast Garruk Wildspeaker, untap Forest with Arbor Elf, tap Forest, untap Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx and Forest with Garruk Wildspeaker, tap Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx for 6 with the two floating mana. Cast Eidolon of Blossoms, draw Utopia Sprawl, enchant Forest, play second Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, tap it and Forest for 11 mana, cast Primal Surge, WIN HARD!!!!!!!!

Ultimately swinging with lots of little dudes, an Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn all with FIRST STRIKE, FLYING, VIGILANCE, TRAMPLE, HASTE, and PRO BLACK/RED

Another T3 Win

UPDATE

Hey guys so just to keep you posted on the lols I have been having with the deck... I haven't been running into a tremendous amount of infect. So for a brief period of time, I swapped out 3 Melira, Sylvok Outcast for 3 Villainous Wealth in the side. So game one they see all the crazy stuff going on and they tend to name Primal Surge and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger with all of their hate. SO! We take all the bs out for the wealths! Keep the Emrakul, the Aeons Torn for mill protection. You almost always have the BU mana to cast it and your opponent will never see it coming! Check out my "mono green mill?" Deck on my page to see why I love Villainous Wealth so much. I played the shit out of that card in theros KTK standard.
