I'm confused why the special lands?

Just a question on starting hands? Are you wanting a Primal Surge in your starting hand and hope you draw into it or just hope you draw creatures and hold off your opponent till you get the cards needed to win.

Ideally, surge is not in starting hand. You just want as much ramp and card draw as possible. You find finishers very easily. Whether it's a garruk that you ultimate and kill with a few elves and coursers, ulamog, emrakul, or surge. Any of those close out the game quickly. Also hard casting akromas memorial is better than it should be. You'd be surprised how fast a game can end with only a couple elves and a garruk beast token when they have evasive flying and vigilance. Pro black/red is just gravy on top, but has been Uber relevant in a lot of matches.

An amazing deck as it can play its entirety very quickly... there is only one problem: I milled myself on my first cast of Primal Surge every time from the Eidolon of Blossoms due to my last card being an enchantment... I almost want to suggest one copy of Laboratory Maniac because of this. Otherwise an immensely competitive brew!

Yeah you can run lab maniac or just keep track of cards in library. Since the surge is a "may" ability and the eidolon draw is not, just opt out of the surge before you mill yourself. Usually works well. But as fun as this deck is, it's just meant for fun and competition in fri he cases. There are just so many better/faster/more consistant decks

I know I'm a little late, but I was wondering if you would consider Mirror Gallery a good addition to this deck. Being able to put out 2 Ulamog's and all 4 Nykthos cards would just be... upsetting.

Hey are there any updates at all to the deck so far limpNuZZle? Also, have you thought about trying to find a way to get Ugin, the Spirit Dragon involved in this monstrosity?

could I recommend Elvish Pioneer?

This has made me want to consider getting it for my first modern deck. Green has been my favorite go to so far and I'm glad mono green is still good in modern.
