Heart of Kiran seems a bit odd here - does it play well? I know it's crew cost is "free", but a 4/4 seems underwhelming in a deck where you can reanimate gigantic artifact threats.

You should send me the Gauntlet that came out, since we're friends and all ;) ha ha!

Sorry for the delay in responses. Been dealing with some things in my personal life that have been taking up all of my attention. So, let's get into it!

JaronTheBaron: I don't run KCI simply because I don't necessarily want to be sacrificing artifacts to ramp myself. It does become decent when you get Daretti's ultimate, but it's not something I'd want to be doing on a regular basis. I tend not to worry about other graveyard- or combo-based decks. I do what I can to either slow everyone down or advance my board, but if they combo out then I guess that's that. Lol.

xXBuddhaXx: Thank you very much! Glad you got some ideas from my list. The Nexus (Nexi?) lands are fine additions if you want to run them. I may consider them myself, as I used to run them and they could be good again. I tried Sanctum and it just didn't do enough for me; I wasn't a fan of it.

Daedalus19876: I wanted to try Heart out as a defense I've card to help protect Daretti, but unfortunately it didn't perform very well. Neither did Pia's Revolution so I dropped them and put both Orbs back in.

SnowCoveredPlainswalker: Sorry my friend, I don't think I can get rid of that just yet. Lol.

Well the deck is still beautiful :) I love mono red and am happy to see you still own the deck.

Speaking of red, shameless plug to my deck tech (updated) ;)

One of my first few games with this deck went like this:

Ancient Tomb, Mox Diamond (pitch a mountain), Metalworker turn 1

Reveal 4 artifacts, play hedron archive, simulacrum, and daretti turn 2.

yeah......

alsozatch: The deck can do some pretty crazy things depending on what you draw into. One of the reasons I love the deck!

Gonna get the new foil Homeward Path?

SnowCoveredPlainswalker: Well of course! I'm just going to wait until Amonkhet so I can get what I want from there at the same time.

Awesome! Just so you know, Sequestered Stash is misspelled as Sequesterd Stash in your primer so the card isn't pulling up :)

There's no reason not to run Ugin's Nexus, extra turn for 5 mana??? Without any draw back???

Can't forget Ugin's Nexus + Mirrorworks

SnowCoveredPlainswalker: Thank you for bringing that to my attention. I will update it. You seem to always catch my typos. Lol.

Angry_Fister: It's more so a personal choice as I don't encounter many decks that play extra turns, and the extra turn it provides us isn't all that necessary.

As far as Ugin's Nexus + Mirrorworks is concerned, you'll still need a sac outlet in order to get an extra turn, as the one you keep from the Legendary rule will prevent you from getting it. So either you get no extra turns, or you get two.

Just thought I'd share some knowledge in case no one knew. :)

Daretti is the sac outlet

Guerte says... #13

Angry_Fister: There is always Daretti. Lol. If you want to run the Nexus, there is nothing wrong with that. I used to run it myself, and got some use out of it, but right now I can't see myself playing it simply because I have no room for it at the moment.

I really can't tell you how much I love this deck. I found it initially when I built my own version of Daretti and I've come back to check it out and look at updates reguarly since.

I'd like to know if there's a chance we'd ever see your take on a budget version of the full deck - I know some of the tabs mention possible replacements but I feel that using too many changes how the deck plays.

In any case, it looks great and I'm very impressed with your dedication to the commander.

Thanks, This was very helpful. In one game, I had a Mycosyth Wellspring, Sculpting Steel (as a lightning greaves), a servo token, and an actual lightning greaves. I also had kuldotha forgemaster in my hand, as well as 5 mana. I got a blightsteel out of nowhere

Hi!You play your deck against several players (multiplayer) or 1x1?

May 4, 2017 1:04 p.m.

LTmiller says... #19

Lammina he has a YouTube Channel with older versions of this decks gameplay. I usually played this in multiplayer and my opponents quickly learned that they had to hate target me out of the game early or I would ALWAYS win.

LTmiller: Thanks for picking up my slack again! Been pretty busy doing projects around the house so that's been occupying a lot of my time.

Lammina: When playing the deck on paper, I would say I have a fairly good mix of both 1v1 and multiplayer games. When playing on MTGO, I've mostly stuck to only 1v1. However, with the changes coming to MTGO with the new ban list, I will no longer be playing on MTGO as the new list severely neuters the explosiveness that Daretti is capable of having. Until they take the cards from this deck off the ban list, or if I decide to record games from Xmage, I will no longer be doing videos, at least for the time being.

========================================

I should be getting the Amonkhet update released fairly soon. Still trying to find the time to work on it.

Guerte No problamo! I enjoy this deck very thoroughly, and even fully constructed your list with a few changes to be more staxxy because of my toxic meta. :) So, anytime I can offer advice I will do so.

Super cool list :-)

Thourghts on Arena of the Ancients?

May 14, 2017 1:40 p.m.

LTmiller says... #23

Winther I believe someone asked about that a long time ago??? I'm not 100% certain, however this list is not really meant to be stax. Being complete stax is not the goal. I know that Static Orb, Winter Orb and Silent Arbiter are there, but that's pretty much just so Daretti, Scrap Savant can be in play long enough to ult.

Hey LTmiller,

Thanks for the reply!

I can see that you allready explained why you went away from a stax build in your update section - my bad! Still, the card seems super cool as it hardly (if at all) hinders the daretti playstyle. Anyhow, I asked as I was on the fence of including a copy myself. Messing with a list myself The Scrappening, any feedback would be much appriciated :-)

Guerte says... #25

Winther: LTmiller pretty much nailed it on the head. More often than not, it's not going to hold down many creatures, and the main thing it will prevent would be them winning via Commander damage. Personally, it's not worth it to me, but if it's something you feel like you want to run, go for it! The game is all about personalizing your decks to your style of play.
