Oracle's Vault has been an all star for me especially if you throw in a Sensei's Divining Top. I based my deck on yours but with a Aetherflux Reservoir/storm approach.

. Of course you can manipulate the top of your deck so you can always cast something but I prefer to activate the top to get it back on top of my library then activate the Vault to cast the top for free. Paradox engine untaps the Vault and I repeat until I draw into the Reservoir or my infinite mana + Goblin Cannon combo.

If anyone has any questions about this deck, I'd love to assist as much as possible as I have a good amount of experience with this list as I built a Carbon copy (sorta, not as shiny) version of this deck.

Tag me in any questions that you have and I will try to answer to the best of my ability.

Now I'm really curious what he sold the deck for. This would have been a nice deck to buy.

Being a Daretti player myself as well I am terrible saddened by this development. Your list served as a great inspiration for improvements to my own deck.

All the best

LTmiller currently working on this list aswell! I had a few questions though.. how essential is unwinding clock? Are there any suitable replacements for mishras workshop and bazzar of baghdad? What's your thoughts on Trinisphere instead of static orb? I have animar in my meta. Also is the value combo of Mirrorworks + Panharmonicon too slow? U basically net 3 panharmonicon and every artifact u lay u can get 5 of that artifact and if they have etb u get a max of 20 of that etb pretty spicey. Thanks! :)

thundranos Yes. You can post your fb profile link on my wall and I can friend you so I can tag you. I'm pretty certain it's in the high end alters fb group.

Gosse the Unwinding Clock has always been super important imo, because it allows you to be unpunished for using our Grim Monolith, Basalt Monolith and Mana Vault. I've also had very good success using it with Nevinyrral's Disk.

As for budget replacements for the high dollar cards, sadly they are no where near the real deal. Crystal Vein is your best bet replacement, however you might consider Temple of the False God as well, as Guerte runs both in his budget build. You could add Mikokoro, Center of the Sea perhaps? The best game I ever won before I took my turn was an opening hand of Mana Crypt, Sol Ring, Mana Vault, Alhammarret's Archive and Bazaar of Baghdad. That game was over super quick due to the amount of cards I was drawing every turn.

Guerte's budget list can be found here: http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/daretti-the-degenerate-budget/

LTmiller diddnt see all of the applications of clock untill I loaded this thing up on forge and gave it a whirl. Amazing I'm nearly compelted the list I will be replacing 3 cards being imperial recruiter bazzar and workshop.. the price is just outrageous on these things. I added crystal vein and mirror pool to the list. No where near the potency of what they replaced but like you said what really is? Matron replaced recruiter and the rest of the list will go unchanged thanks for keeping this awesome list alive!

Gosse It's no problem! Also as for the Trinisphere over Static Orb I don't feel that it is a bad idea to run a it, but Static Orb is really nice whenever we combine it with Unwinding Clock. However, with the Animar, Soul of Elements deck in your meta I'd recommend you find something that's kind of underperforming in your opinion and maybe swap it out and give it a try.

I tried really hard to make Panharmonicon work and I just couldn't. It was more often a dead card than it was anything else. Once again, this is always at the discretion of the user, if you feel you can make it work, go for it. Bring me your results! I'm going to try my hardest to keep it alive for as long as possible.

Gosse I agree with basically everything LTmiller.

Only thing I would really say is if you like having friends Trinisphere might be a good replacement for static orb, but if you want to win Orb is the way to go.

Unwinding Clock is a 100% nessecary as long as you are running Vedalken Orrery if you can't really abuse the untap on other people's turn you might not need it.

Workshop, Recruiter, and Bazzar ARE NOT nessecary, there are no true budget options to replace them but it isn't nessecary.

Ultimately though if you are building Daretti, you are gonna have to shell out for some things: Mana Vault, Mana Crypt, All Is Dust, Metalworker, Mox Opal, Mycosynth Lattice, Wurmcoil Engine & Rings of Brighthearth. These are all pretty nessecary and expensive...

My deck I built over time, and I constantly try new cards in the deck that seem good. If you want a look at a deck that's a bit different... come by sometime. I know its not completely it's unique but it's got a few cards that no one else is playing.

Also how do you guys feel about Throne of the God-Pharaoh? With Clock of Omens I feel like there is some potential.

DrkNinja I'm not really sure how I feel about it in here, I know for a fact it is a REALLY, REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY good card in my Captain Sisay deck and my friends Yisan, the Wanderer Bard deck. I feel like it would be fine honestly, I'm just not sure what to cut out at this point? I feel like it could be good, but the main problem I had/have with it is that I never really have the creatures in play because I just toss them to Daretti after I use them. So I'm not really sure that it becomes that great. HOWEVER, Karn, Silver Golem makes this pretty intense. So maybe...

DrkNinja I didn't even think about Myr Battlesphere. I think it might be worth a test!

DrkNinja thanks for the input. I actually have alot of things here and am currently running a daretti stax deck here's a list of what I need to complete this build, Daretti list. I'm working on selling about 400 dollars worth of my modern collection aswell to fuel this as I rarely have time for tournament play anymore. I figured I'd focus that on the higher end rocks in this list first as priority items what are your thoughts?

Scorched Ruins nets you 2 mana when you drop it... with crucible you can play back the saced lands. Seems about the best ramp land I can find to replace workshop.

@Gosse That actually seems really good and scorched isn't worth a lot...

LTmiller says... #21

Gosse I definitely recommend getting fast mana. It is not very noticeable at times (like when they're not in your hand), but they are VERY worth it. The explosiveness of the deck just hits a new and really dumb level. It will be very well worth it! I even may have a few of these pieces that you're looking for as extras. ;)

Scorched Ruins seems fine as a poor man's Mishra's Workshop (not dissing you) just using the terminology. lol

August 3, 2017 3:35 p.m.

SVHowdy says... #22

Gosse The main issue with Scorched Ruins is that any targeted land removal like Strip Mine, Wasteland, etc. opens you up to a 3 for 1. Temple of the False God might be a better alternative.
