Gosse I did, he's okay. He doesn't just win the game for us but he definitely got some good damage in.
yesty13 Swapping out cards is always an important meta call and I think that is the best way to play EDH honestly. Everyone's play group is different.

I think Trading Post would be good for this deck, it's got lots of flexibility and combo potential.
Just had this happen today: Metalworker + Spine of Ish Sah + Paradox Engine + Trading Post
Tap Metalworker for 8, use 1 for trading posts last ability, sac Spine which goes back to hand, use 7 floating to cast Spine again, Engine trigger untaps Metalworker and Trading Post.
Rinse and repeat for infinite colorless mana, infinite draw, and infinite permanent removal.

Trading Post is also a really good discard engine so you can recur things with Daretti.
Another Benefit: since my stuff is always getting targeted anyways, I regularly use trading post to sacrifice my creatures and artifacts in response so I still get something out of it.

Angry_Fister wow never seen any combo potential in Trading Post I'll have to try it out. Amy response to the question prior to your post? Any insight would be appreciated :)

I run Walking Ballista for quick finishers, which doubles up as creature removal. This decklist is sort of weak when it comes to creature removal, since you only have Spine and Chaos Warp. So even a good old Bolt could do the trick, sometimes removing one creature can make the game. (I recommend Lightning Bolt to anyone making a budget version of Daretti)
In the case of Stony Silence or other cards such as Grafdigger's Cage, Rest in Peace, Leyline of the Void etc. I'm not too sure. This deck lacks in almost every type of removal as it relies on stax and combos. Perhaps if you were running a slower, budget version of this deck you could add basic removal like Crush/Smelt for artifacts. As for enchantments? There is no red enchantment removal other than ones that target blue cards. Spine, Disk, and Chaos Warp are really your only answers for enchantments.
Hope I can help! I've been lurking this thread for a while and it has made my Daretti deck 10x better. Love this deck hope to see it stay on top with the upcoming sets.

This deck is nearly perfect so adding additional removal for the 1 off game isn't really worth it, as you don't want to get rid of essential combo pieces. You can still easily win games without using Daretti's -2.

Angry_Fister "Perfect" i would say is definitely a meta dependency as for my list I'm missing crypt and wheel which I'm hoping to pick up soon. Also due to budget constraints the workshop and bazzar arnt an option.. If your interested in having a look here's the slug Daretti, Some Assembly Required any suggestions are welcome I'll be replacing Everflowing Chalice and Reforge the Soul with the crypt and wheel when I get them. Really only having isues with teeg as he turns off our commander by turn 2 possibly turn 1 much more consistently the we can rush out ours. I've considered running 1 or 2 of the 3 "Anger of the Gods" cards available since a recent amonkhet print.I have all the standard colorless removal at my disposal problem is outside Chaos Warp it's all 4 and over.

Sorry, swamped with work. The problem is that you cannot sac Spine of Ish Sah... :( Sad panda.
Here's what I would do in the case of Teeg: Run two of Anger of the Gods effects, which works well against those decks usually. Stony Silence on the other hand is the bane of our existence. The only way I ever can get rid of it is Spine, Warp, or Unstable Obelisk, I had to add into my deck for a while, because it is reccurable.

Thoughts on Null Brooch And Metalwork Colossus? Brooch is always a free counter and through playtesting Metalwork is better than Blightsteel for many reasons
1 Usually costs 0 - 32 Easier to recur3 If he's in the Graveyard he's an instant speed sac outlet for artifacts to save them from an eviction and such

xmistfitxzviprx wow. What a name lol.
I actually used to run Metalwork Colossus and Bosh, Iron Golem so that I could just kill a player in a turn with it or instant speed deal with any problem creatures. I think that is a meta call personally. I switched out of it to run this exact list almost.
Null Brooch actually used to be in Guerte's older version of the deck but he has since cut it from the deck.
Once again, I think this is a meta neutral decklist, changes to be made to the deck to make it better in your meta is your call, I recommend that you do that as a matter of fact, as it tests your skill to adapt to different situations.

Here's a weird suggestion: Glorious End
This is the best fuck you card, how many times have you died knowing that you'd win next turn?
Also, Platinum Angel

But then he won't be able to activate his own commander...

Sorry it's been awhile guys, wisebrandon123 it's not in here simply because this isn't a stax list, this is just his version of the deck.
Angry_Fister Platinum Angel used to be in here but was cut to make more synergistic plays/combos. As for Glorious End I think that's a meta call, in a super competitive meta it'd be hilarious to cast that while an inexperienced player tries to win via labman and exile his triggers on the stack as I've found all the lab maniac decks to be a turn or so faster.

Wait... he said he left this deck and magic for good, but he added Karn, Scion of Urza. Actually he changed a bunch of things recently, so maybe he is coming back.

spudman3d: I guess I forgot to announce here that yes, I am back!
But not all of the way. My budget/time only allows me to play Magic Online.
But I did rebuild him on there, and even recorded some games for my YouTube channel.

Hi guerte! Great to have you back! Do you play this deck online now? How is that working with the current meta?
I am on the start of building a daretti deck in a cEDH friends Group (opponents run very expensive competitive decks like: sisay, Narset, Nath, joira) and I am looking for inspiration in your deck.
How are the cards from dominaria working ot for you?
June 8, 2018 11:20 a.m.
