Maaki: You could run it in place of Recoup, but I wouldn't run both. We don't run enough instants and sorceries to justify both.

Have you ever tried Kiki-Jiki or Feldon in here? They were both in my list and did SO SO SO much work, you've got alot of ETB effects in here that would be great to duplicate over and over, plus Wurmcoil's token copy dying at the end of the turn will provide you with more creatures.

SnowCoveredPlainswalker: While we do run some creatures with good ETB/LTB triggers, I feel like those two are better off in a deck of their own.
However, if I had to choose one, I would probably go with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker. Adding him would also give us the option of adding Zealous Conscripts as an alternate win condition.
I will have to think it over and give it a try sometime and see how it works out.

you do notice Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth doesent work 'cause it says "...if it ISN'T!!!!!!!! a mana ability..."
July 24, 2016 5:18 p.m.
gunnerocka: You would be correct that we cannot copy Basalt's mana producing ability. But that's not what we copy. We copy the untap effect. You pay 3 to untap, pay an additional 2 to copy the untap, now you have to untap abilities on the stack. Let the first one resolve and untap the Monolith. Before the other untap resolves, tap it again for mana. Last untap resolves, untapping it, and you can proceed to tap it for mana again. ;)

Hey Guerte I like the addition of Geier Reach Sanitarium! I also haven't got to comment on this deck. It looks super swicked man! Check out my [[Primer]] Seton, Druid Goodness. I kinda used the resources you posted in the comments because it was super great for organization.

What do you think of Magus of the Wheel for another wheel effect? A bunch of people in my group run a million tutors so I like having another wheel

Love the deck. +1 from me. Would you consider Copper Gnomes? They're very good for an early Darksteel Forge or Bosh, Iron Golem to keep Daretti alive.

ragecat: I don't like Magus of the Wheel because unless you can give him haste he will probably die before you can use him. I'd rather run Reforge the Soul for the same cost, if not cheaper, and get the effect right away instead of later.
RazortoothMtg: Copper Gnomes could be a good inclusion. I've never really tested it out to be honest.

I can confirm that Copper Gnomes is da bee's knees. I've had two games were an early Sol Ring or Gamble planted me a Blightsteel Colossus in play on turns 2-3.

Also have you considered Lodestone Golem? If not taken care of, it can slow down opponents a lot.
August 9, 2016 2:39 p.m.
alexyoung: I'll have to give it a try if I can ever get a hold of one on paper. Or I could just try it out on Xmage.
RazortoothMtg: I have not considered Lodestone Golem as I feel it is only good in the early game. Later on, when people have developed their mana, it becomes less effective as they have the extra mana to pay for it.

Very beautiful deck, lots of time and money invested in it, I respect that. :)

This list looks pretty amazing! I put it together just a few days ago with some budget solutions for cards like Mishra's Workshop and Bazhaar. One thing that occurred to me, wouldn't Thran Dynamo be almost strictly better than Gilded Lotus? The deck needs barely any red mana and with all the other cheaper mana rocks and Crucible there should be an abundance of it.
August 12, 2016 9:24 a.m.
Shane.Allen: Thank you very much! I really appreciate that!
Iquasi: With our higher-costing rocks, the casting cost is negligible since we can just pitch them and recur them with no mana investment. And even tho our deck doesn't need much colored mana to operate, colored mana will always be better than colorless. At least in my opinion. Feel free to swap them out if you wish!

Daretti goes dark... Really sad he can't go in this deck.. Plus shocked there where no artifact toys printed alongside him in Conspiracy 2...
August 28, 2016 11:54 a.m. Edited.
VexenX: I was really excited when I seen his name spoiled, until I actually saw him.
He's a great card, but has black so we can't use him. I would be ok if he was a Legendary Creature or the cool text that lets us use him as a commander, but alas we didn't get that lucky.

I'm surprised no one is talking about Kaladesh on here! I will be disappointed if there is not at least 3 or 4 new playables for Daretti!

have you seen any kaladesh cards spoiled so far that might fit into this?
September 4, 2016 10:33 p.m.
VexenX/RazortoothMtg: I have real high hopes for Kaladesh and Aether Revolt.
So far, there are two cards that have caught my eye: Inventors' Fair and Aetherworks Marvel.
Fair is almost in auto-include, as our landbase can be quite flexible as far as utility lands go, and we could always drop down on basics in order to make room if need be. The life gain is ok I suppose. Doesn't gain you much but over the course of the game it could be significant. The tutor ability is near-uncounterable and recurrable with Crucible of Worlds. The fact that it doesn't take up a valuable spell slot is really what makes me excited for this.
Marvel is really unique. With fetches, Welder, Daretti, and even Slobad if he's ran, we can actually amass quite a bit of energy counters. Casting free stuff is always awesome, and can be quite good in here, especially netting a free Forge or planeswalker. Testing will need to be done, but I can see this card finding a spot in here.
If there's a lot of cards that can find a place in here, a complete overhaul of the deck might be necessary.

Panharmonicon also seems great! It is on mtgsalvation
September 4, 2016 11:41 p.m.
VexenX: As much as I would love to have it in here, with only 7 cards that could trigger it, I feel like it is better suited in some other deck. And if we add in more ETB cards, Torpor Orb shuts them down.

Madcap Experiment definitely looks promising. The modules, however, will most likely not make the cut.

+1 for this deck for sure. Also, had to help you maintain/increase your deck rankings!
On a side note, how do you see top decks and top X-deck on TappedOut, etc?

Hey, what do think of Shreds of Sanity as an additional recoup-like effect?
