@Zicca21 the problem with that combo is that the cards on thier own are not individually powerful outside of that 3-card-combo. my other combos, Aura Thief
+ Enchanted Evening
, is not only a 2 card combo, but evening is useful in a wide number of situations, where Aura Thief
can usually take something from my opponents. Mana Bloom
/ Shimmering Wings
/ Flickering Ward
are not individually powerful, but combo with 6 different cards. they are also 2-card-combos, so i feel its justified. Avacyn, Angel of Hope
while powerful isnt necessary to the deck, 8 mana is a huge investment into an effect like that, where the only sweepers i really need to worry about are Planar Cleansing
effects and Fracturing Gust
effects. Paraselene
is extremely detrimental to the deck, destroying all my progress for a little life, the only time that would be useful is when i have an Ajani's Chosen
on the field and a Replenish
in hand.

Shackles works great with the enchantresses because you can recall and recast it if you need cards.

@KULiiA my issue with Shackles is that it costs 3 mana, plus 1 to return, thats requires a lot of mana for a card that pretty much is only for enchantress triggers.

Thanks!, though the primer is far from done, I still need to add how to play the deck and the combos at least.

Captain Sisay can also pull Heliod, God of the Sun or Sigarda, Host of Herons. If you ran Sisay as your commander and put Karametra, God of Harvests in your deck, she would pull that as well. However, you're right, not the best commander, unless you're running lots more legendary permanents. Another possible commander is Tolsimir Wolfblood, but he would be better in a deck running more G/W creatures. I'm surprised not to see Eidolon of Countless Battles here - I think it might be a good option....
All in all, lots of work. Thanks for putting this together.

Thanks libraryjoy !
While sissy "can" grab those they are generally underwhelming so I decided to not mention them.
On Tolsimir Wolfblood I honestly don't see him as viable simply because he doest do anything that a Glorious Anthem can't do, the tokens we produce are all mono white and the difference between a swarm of 4/4 fliers and 5/5 fliers isn't actually that much.
I used to run Eidolon of Countless Battles in the deck and he never really did anything, as of now he is pretty much a worse Sage's Reverie. The problem I have with eidolon is he only works with a large board state, if I have that, I've already won.

I love this deck but... no Panglacial Wurm? it is an amazing win con on its own as a 9/5 trampler out of nowheres, especially in this deck, which has you constantly fetching lands

Thank you for making this Primer. I used own a landfall karametra but as time went on and new decks were built it fell out of favor with me. with the drop of theros beyond death I've since revisted the deck and using your primer I saved a ton of time!

I've always thought an fantastic combo with Enchanted Evening would be adding in Avacyn, Angel of Hope and Paraselene and then board wiping while keeping all your stuff, and gaining life. Just a thought though!
