I noticed that you aren't running Reality Shift. I feel like this is an important piece of interaction, depending on your meta, and I argue that it's better than Winds of Rebuke since it permanently gets rid of a threat. Granted, Winds of Rebuke gets rid of a threat on the combo turn, but you have to ensure that you have a lot of mana already available for that. I suppose it's up to personal preference here, but I feel like Reality Shift should automatically be included in nearly every blue deck. Were you running both, I would highly recommend cutting down to one.

Since Finale of Devastation is absolutely an auto inclusion in every green deck, you also can stick with just that as your wincon, especially since it's pretty easy to get back from the graveyard or from exile. The deck makes infinite mana already, so it's very easy to swing with all of your creatures as infinite/infinites. Once you have made infinite mana, Temur Sabertooth can bounce all your creatures back so you can replay them and not have to worry about having tapped creatures.

I am running Reality Shift and Finale of Devastation in mine. Since Reality Shift is an auto-inclusion in every blue deck I build (with one single exception), it makes sense to me to not include anything like Winds of Rebuke. I've seen a few people running Walking Ballista, too, which I also find entirely unnecessary.

Doesn't Glimpse of Nature + GSZ make Heart Warden too redundant? You are running Spellseeker, after all, which can find Finale of Devastation for the combat step win, Reality Shift (Winds of Rebuke in your case) for the infinite draw win with Glimpse of Nature, and hacks. This deck appears to be pretty resilient and its recursion seems solid, so I don't see a reason to run both Heart Warden and Glimpse of Nature.

The fact that Heart Warden is tutorable directly with Momir Vig is tempting, but the fact that Glimpse is another hack makes it more valuable to me. The combo makes infinite mana without either of these, so once you cast Spellseeker, you can go straight into any one of the possible kills.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but you don't even need to draw the deck to win with Winds of Rebuke. Once you have made infinite mana, Temur Sabertooth will repeatedly bounce Spellseeker and Nantuko Tracer back so you can keep replaying them to cast Winds of Rebuke over and over. Heart Warden definitely doesn't seem necessary to me. Glimpse of Nature is necessary because it's a reliable hack, but you don't need to draw the deck if you have another hack.

You talk about Heart Warden in description, but you don't include it in decklist?

So there are a great number of comments here about Momir Vig Hackball. This page is no longer updated. To check out the current primer, head on over to MoxField.

New Primer Link

To answer some questions real quick - Heart Warden is no longer used in the main deck list, but is still heavily used in budget lists.

We are indeed aware of Kinnan, and he has made it into the deck as acceleration.

Fierce Guardianship Made it's way onto our maybe board, but the idea is that it is much more meta dependent. You need to stick Momir, and Fierce Guardianship does not let you do that.

These are just the highlights / quick answers. If you'd like to discuss further, hit up MoxField or the Hackball Discord. Link above should still work. Thanks!

Does Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy have a place in the 99?

This deck is ridiculous. I was searching for discussions around Magical Hack, stumbled upon this deck and am now questioning my entire philosophy around deck building. Here I thought I was going out on a limb building a deck around color manipulation with:

and I find this beast. Any other mechanics that change the game that you've come across that are similar to this?
