Hello and welcome to my favorite deck! First of all thank you for taking the time to look at this list and hopefully reading this description. If you like the deck +1's are very welcome, if you do not like it constructive criticism are even more welcome.

In the following sections I will try to break down the decks filosophy, card choices, strengths, weaknesses and things like that.

The deck has evolved from goodstuff Cromat to Progenitus superfriends, and is now in the prosess of getting a new direction. I am going to be testing out a couple of cards that enable Progenitus to kill a player in one swing, these cards I have placed in the maybeboard.

I have been working with this deck a long time now, and cards are getting replaced as I go when i get ahold of better alternatives. This deck used to run guildgates before i got fetches and shocklands for example. It is still in this process (I am looking at getting Jace, the Living Guildpact replaced with Jace, the Mind Sculptor for example).

I have also been having an inner debate with myself if I should include counterspells or not, but have not yet decided, I feel my manabase isn't strong enough yet to make it successful, and I feel like I would lose some of the direction of the deck by going through with these inclusions. I would however, love to hear your arguments either way.

As it is now the deck resolves mostly around planeswalkers, even though I have nudged myself further from this theme lately. I have taken out The Chain Veil for instance, as I felt it was too narrow. Doubling Season is still in, because its synergies with alot of the cards is just insane, like the planeswalkers, and the token producers, especially Assemble the Legion.

The way the deck wins is often by setting opponents life to 10 and hitting with Progenitus, or locking the game down with Narset Transcendant or overwhelming tokens from Assemble the Legion.

Strenghts:

  • Resiliant to creature-based boardwipes
  • Strong recusion engines
  • Card quality is often better then your opponents, usually the longer the game lasts, the better
  • resiliant against a lot of archetypes
  • Very fun to pilot

Weaknesses

  • Struggles against heavy control
  • 5 colors may be hard to reach
  • Life lost can really stack up
