Progenitus Enchantress

Commander / EDH

Progenitus Enchantress

This deck is a ton of fun to play, and it shares aspects of both pillow fort and enchantress strategies with a strong control element built in to protect yourself while building your deck. To protect your Enchanted Fort we have cards like Privileged Position, Greater Auramancy, Sterling Grove, and Clever Impersonater to create an overlap effect to lock out spot removal for key cards like Omniscience. The enchantress strategy is your primary win cons are AEtherflux Reservoir / Nicol Bolas, Planeswalkers / The Locust God with Token Insects, and last but not least Progenitus

I recommend this deck to players who enjoy playing a commander strategy that is fighting on a different axis than the rest of the table. The only cards we are truly scared of are cyclonic rift, merciless eviction, and bane of progress, since they are the most common cards. Save your counterspells in the deck for protecting yourself from these cards. Most players only run spot removal for enchantments, and the lockout of this allows you to build your fort without any further interruptions.

Deck Building Notes:

Originally in the deck was cards like Humility and Luminarch's Ascension, and I would warn against playing cards like this. While it makes complete sense to play this card for enchantress, ultimately it generates so much hate at the table that you are unable to recover.
