Not sure you have enough guys to sac for a Plaguemaw Beast to kick in.

Vigor might help though. He could make the Gilder Bairn and Thrummingbird able to attack whether there were blockers or not.

Parallel Lives , Followed Footsteps , Riptide Replicator and Soul Foundry all work.

Scute Mob is good counters and Forgotten Ancient is really good for counters.

Quicksilver Gargantuan & Progenitor Mimic (especially if you get them on something like a Kalonian Hydra ).

There are literally so many neat counter multipliers/makers that you could never fit them all.

I think I would cut a couple of the Plainswalkers, especially since you can only have one of each name on the field at a time.

Thanks GreenHorn and carpecanum for the ideas. I know I cant fit in everything that can multiply/abuse counters, but I want to get something really synergistic going, and Im just not too familiar with much of the older cards to really know what could go in here. As for the planeswalkers I really want to be able to abuse them for their ultimate's, since ideally with a Doubling Season in play, or a Gilder Bairn , or even a couple of proliferate items I can cast a planeswalker and ult on the same turn. This method works for most of the planeswalkers I have listed, now I can cut down on them, but I really want to know for what lol. I might skip on the token multiplication for now, unless it deals with counters, thats another deck for another time lol.

I know it isn't particularly practical or useful, but something fun to do with these colors is Experiment Kraj and Necrotic Ooze -- especially with proliferation abilities. You could make a mean combo deck if you manage to maintain a board presence with those out.

Of course, these could be added with an Infect subtheme -- which gives good targets to the mimeoplasm like Skittles, Blighted Agent , Putrefax , and for counters Death's Shadow , and Phyrexian Dreadnought .

You'll want to fill the grave with things like Compulsion , Survival of the Fittest , Fauna Shaman , Fact or Fiction , and then reanimate with Beacon of Unrest etc.

You could also add an artifact subtheme and have some great interactions with Darksteel Forge , Darksteel Reactor , Mycosynth Lattice , and kraj + necrotic ooze if you wanted. Then you could add utter devastation to the already tremendous power of Bane of Progress .

Yes, thats exactly what I needed illumfolly thanks! I knew some interactions, but my mind has blanked on this for some reason, Varolz, the Scar-Striped scavenging Phyrexian Dreadnought or Death's Shadow onto Sage of Hours , then using Vorel of the Hull Clade or Gilder Bairn OR having Doubling Season /Primal Vigor . Infinite turns!! Ok, not quite infinite, but a whole bunch! Thats just great, and I like the added support for artifacts as well. Darksteel Reactor is another perfect card.

No Problem -- decks like these are a lot of fun to play.

My cautionary advice overall is to make sure that you have some simple mimeoplasm reanimator strategies in place for when you can't seem to get the proliferation engine off the ground. Otherwise, it might be pretty frustrating.

What you could do if you went for more of an artifact theme is also throne of geth -- with some kind of infinite untap ability in place for kraj / necrotic ooze / mimeoplasm / Body Double , you can get an infinite proliferation going.

Take out Throne of Geth it seems useful until you either 1) have no artifacts or 2) don't want to sac the ones you have out.

Its true, though I do have a number of slots to fill in the deck still left. Im thinking of either some good tutoring stuff or something to allow me to go infinite with creating and sacing artifact creatures. And Mycosynth Lattice allows me to have plenty to sacrifice. But yes, this deck is still much in the works.

So, for tutors, you'll want Buried Alive , Entomb , Demonic Tutor , Vampiric Tutor -- and for engines, you'll want cards that read "Draw X cards, then discard X-1 cards"

That will fill the grave, which is your best asset.

For counters, you won't need many -- just Trickbind , and Voidslime for board wipes at inopportune times and for grave hate.

You'll absolutely want Survival of the Fittest and Fauna Shaman -- especially with Kraj and Necrotic Ooze

As much as I wan to get Entomb , Vampiric Tutor , Demonic Tutor , and Survival of the Fittest , I cant quite be spending $25+ on each of them lol. I have a few other options at least for them though. Since Im looking to put a creature in the graveyard anyways, Jarad's Orders can fill that roll. Its a tad more expensive, and sorcery speed, but it puts a card in hand, and a card in the graveyard. For the other tutors, I have a couple of options, none nearly as good as the two aforementioned ones though. There is the newly reprinted Diabolic Tutor (meh), Demonic Collusion , allows me to search and discard for the buyback (meh), Increasing Ambition allows for a total for tutoring for 3 cards including its flashback, though gets expensive. The one moral victory for these cards with higher cmc's is that I should, in theory, be able to generate tons of mana.

I strongly recommend running a clockspinning as well as some more counterspells just in case someone has an answer to your boardstate (your playgroup may be different than mine but because of all the 9-15 player edh games I play I am used to somebody always having an answer) in addition to this I recommend playing lightning greaves instead of swiftfoot boots and adding in at LEAST 2 board wipes in case things get out of hand*

*note: these suggestions are for if you want to turn your edh deck into a more competitive one, if you feel they do not fit the theme or do not word for you just don't do them

potatopotatopotato Thanks for commenting! Clockspinningis amazing and exactly what I needed. It kills opposing planeswalkers, pumps mine, etc, and can be a huge mana dump if I need it to be.

As for your other suggestions, I added in two sweepers, because your right, sometime the board needs reset. As for counter magic, Im a little hesitant to add it in, since I have always felt like in Commander, its a little dirty (though effective). My position on thiese might change depending on how people take to my deck, though the overall idea isnt to be the control deck.

Lightning Greaves are by and far better, but sadly I dont actually own a pair, so at least for now, Im going with Swiftfoot Boots.

Biggest issue Im having with the deck currently is trimming off the 18? cards that I am now over. I typically have the problem of not seeing what is in reality just win-more.

I so far there are two combos that can give infinite counters: The first one being Gilder Bairn+Training Grounds+Multani's HarmonyThe second one is the Temur Ascendency combo: Temur Ascendancy+Temur Sabertooth+Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx+Voyaging Satyr.Maybe you can use one of thoose combos or booth. :)

Just so you know, do not include derevi as part of the deck, listing him as your commander is enough. As for what to take out I personally reccomend taking out Echo Mage Kruphix, God of Horizons Raven Familiar Skyward Eye Prophets Vorapede Steady Progress Basalt Monolith Ichor Wellspring Titan Forge Ugin's Nexus Archmage Ascension, I know that this is more than enough cards to take out and as such I have several recommendations for your deck Capsize is a personal favorite of mine to run in a blue deck, in addition I believe you should try and make room for Halimar Depths, Lotus Bloom, Burgeoning, Rhystic Study, Iona, Shield of Emeria, Emeria, The Sky Ruin, Lurking Predators, Tooth and Nail (for all those 2 card combos) and finally Genesis Wave. If you have any questions as to why I recommend specific cards let me know and I will explain it to you.
