This is a sunburst deck that uses proliferate to stack tokens upon tokens. It uses a unique blend of creatures that require all five colours of mana to be optimized. It can be a bit slow out of the gates but after it gets going it is hard to stop. This deck uses charge counters for everything so proliferate will help you draw, heal, destroy enemy creatures, deal direct damage and beef up your own guys. At the end of the day your end game comes from wearing down your opponents, while keeping your hand and health full.
Making sure you consistently have all five colours of mana is one of this decks biggest struggles. In order to help this out I have put in 2 of each of the Alara three coloured lands. I also run the Alloy Myr for a bit of extra mana kick. The Pentad Prism is a beast in this deck. When used with some of the small one off proliferates like Tezzeret's Gambit or Grim Affliction it will help store mana for later, but when using 2 or three with Inexorable Tide then you can run into producing more mana of any colour then you can rightly use.
Etched Oracle,Etched Monstrosity and Bringer of the Blue Dawn will all be working hard to keep the cards in your hand. Bringer of the Blue Dawn will be the most consistent early on but as you get into turn 6 or 7 the Etched Oracle can keep your hand full. When working with proliferate and the extra mana coming from the pented prisms you may very well play through your entire deck in a single turn. Tezzeret's Gambit will give a bit of extra draw power along with some much needed proliferation. The Etched Monstrosity is not as reliable for the draw because of its total cost and the fact that you can only use his ability once but he works as an threatening attacker after his drawing is used so that is a big plus.
Contagion Engine,Inexorable Tide,Energy Chamber,Tezzeret's Gambit,Grim Affliction all have the job of stacking tokens on my permanents as much as possible. They will combo with just about everything in the deck.
infused arrow and Clearwater Goblet are my main stalls. The infused arrow can stop a creature heavy deck in its tracks as long as you keep it stocked with charge counters. The Clearwater Goblet can gain health a fantastic rate so you can recover the damage that you will likely have taken early game, and become untouchable late game.
The actual damage of the deck comes form swinging with creatures that have gotten large over the course of the deck building.Skyreach Manta is a great attacker with flying because it will be naturally boosted by every proliferate you use. Triskelion can be used similarly to the infused arrow but with the added bonus of being able to hit the opponent. The Etched Monstrosity can be a powerful attacker after you pop it's drawing ability. Really if you manage to stall out to the late game then you should have no trouble overrunning your opponents with your powerful creatures, even the Alloy Myr can become a 10/10 pretty quickly if you Energy Chamber a +1/+1 onto it early on.
The problem I am having with this deck is it's lack of good early game. Many rush decks I've played against have had little trouble getting in before I can get rolling and taking the win. Decks that are prepared to destroy artifacts will always be a problem for this one as well. I would love some ideas for speeding this deck up please comment if you have any thoughts.
P.S.
Thanks for taking the time to read this admittedly long winded explanation of my deck :-D
