WHY DO PEOPME THINK THAT YOU CAN SACRIFICE TOKENS AND TRIGGER GRAVE PACT!? TOKENS ARE EXILED THEY DO NOT HIT THE GRAVEYARD!!!

I had a look at the comprehensive rules found on Wizards website and would you believe i found this:

216.3. A token in a zone other than the in-play zone ceases to exist. This is a state-based effect.(Note that a token changing zones will set off triggered abilities before the token ceases to exist.) Once a token has left play, it cant be returned to play by any means.

Note that a token changing zones will set off triggered abilities before the token ceases to exist. This includes Grave Pact 's "creature you control is put into the graveyard" ability as it is TRIGGERED by the creature being placed in the graveyard.

SniperFrog is right. Grave Pact is triggered. This is a really mean thing a token generating deck can do. Read the gatherer rulings before you post something like this Jagishamesh.

I would include mass pumpers like Gaea's Anthem and Overrun as a win con. Paying 10 mana to get 10 tokens and pump them with Overrun for the win the turn after seems to be alluring.

I hope this helped. Greets MA.

Overrun is sweet, but I think of them all, Triumph of the Hordes is a little better.

But i still need to find some room for a lot of things, so im not too sure ill be adding either of them, but thanks for the suggestion.

+1 from me but I want to point out that Krenko, Mob Boss is not as effective as you think because Prossh, Skyraider of Kher doesn't actually put goblins into play, so if your needing room I would suggest him :D

I knew that, I just had him in here because I had a bonus one, so i threw it in the list. I think he's going to come out for Verdant Force ...

In his defense, I have won with him a few times, now... lol.

Thanks for the suggestions and +1s!!!!

In my opinion this deck lacks a bit of mana boost to compensate your commanders high mana cost. Try to add something like: Thran Dynamo , Gilded Lotus , Coalition Relic , Darksteel Ingot and others to quicken up this deck.

Love me those mana rocks, but its just so hard to take stuff out... Thran Dynamo and Gilded Lotus are in (as i already have them in my collection), but i will remind you of Black Market , way better than any mana rock IMO.

I like it, and I am going to have to dress up my list now because some of your cards may be better options for me as well. You could try using Utopia Mycon its a slow token generator but you also have lots of other saproling producers in the deck so it could still help you ramp. Garruk Wildspeaker is also decent ramp/token gen and an on deck overrun Black Market doesn't look like it does enough to earn a spot for your deck. Curse of Shallow Graves is completely crazy in EDH it's almost a death sentence for someone and odds are you will get more value than anyone. Feel free to check my version out for card ideas and inputs. Carnivore Circus. Thanks for your contribution.

feel like that Dragon Broodmother would be a good card in here

I do believe you are correct. I'll see what I can take out for it.

Conspiracy naming Rat. Ogre Slumlord will give everything Deathtouch, Ophiomancer will never see any Snakes, and Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder will never see any Thrulls.

liberator01 says... #17

Have you thought about trying Bow of Nylea?

December 1, 2013 4:13 p.m.

SniperFrog says... #18

@tlk_lone_knight Plague Boiler is just taking place of Pernicious Deed right now. I just dont have one yet... I think ill take out Verdant Force . They both do pretty much the same thing, but Dragon Broodmother drops way better tokens.

@Siyanor Not bad at all, but Im afraid i cant find anything thats worth dropping in favor of it. Plus most of my snakes and thrulls are sac'd before the triggers hit anyways...

@thefish42 Craterhoof Behemoth is badass, but I think Im going to put him in my Wild Beastmaster deck that Im prototyping right now...

@liberator01 The bow is nice but it didnt impress in playtesting all that much.

Thanks for all the sweet advice and +1s.

Sylvan Primordial is now banned from EDH

March 9, 2014 10:46 a.m.

SniperFrog says... #21

So they finally dropped that ban hammer, huh???

I knew it was only a matter of time. I havent played in a few months. When did they make the change?

March 9, 2014 12:07 p.m.

Bearhemoth says... #22

Within a month, if memory serves me correctly. It kept getting played in blink decks to a disgusting amount of advantage so they finally banned it. If ya have some time, mind looking through my very similar Prossh deck ImProsshible amounts of tokens ?

March 9, 2014 6:13 p.m.

SniperFrog says... #23

That card is absolutely FILTHY in my buddies Mimeoplasm build. I knew it was only an amount of time before they banned that sonofabitch.

And Ill check it out.

Might I suggest Craterhoof Behemoth to replace Sylvan Primordial ? It's pretty much an instant win for most Prossh decks.

March 12, 2014 3:35 a.m.

SniperFrog says... #25

I can see it.

I hadnt decided what to switch the primordial with yet, and this is a great replacement.
