I'm loving some of these choices! Why no black tutors (Vampiric Tutor over Worldly Tutor etc.), and why Panharmonicon? Those are the only two things I don't understand yet.

This looks like a hybrid value/combo Prossh list, yeah? How many people do you usually play against in a pod?

Thanks, abby315, the only reason I do not have demonic or vampiric tutor is because I do not own them, and no other reason beyond that. Panharmonicon is just great for acceleration of things like impact tremors, purphoros, and alter of the brood. I greatly appreciate your support and input on my deck. I am working on improving it more if you have any more suggestions, I'd be happy to hear them.

cujo253 I love a lot of those selections. The avenger is a bit expensive for what he does, and the double effects are things that are just too redundant for me, although I know they win games. The last 4 in that long list are definitely now on my watch list, thank you for that. I prefer gilded lotus to the geoscope, and as much of a douche as I am, infect with prossh is just wrong to me. I appreciate your professionalism, and I'm more than willing to go through the reasons as to why with my choices. Thank you

Just throwing out some more competitive cards for you. Just built my own prossh deck (solely for competitive so a lot of these are spike) and just saw yours in passing so thought I'd jot a few down. Cheers mate

cujo253 Do you have yours posted? I always love to see Prossh work. I prefer the target removal strongly, take meren of clan Nel toth for example: they're more than happy to sacrifice a little guy. Mass sacrifice is still hard to recover from, however. I use mostly a combo strategy, which I'm planning on slightly straying from. Beast within is simple but powerful, I also recommend hull breach

It still needs work to work on consistency, but this is how it looks as of now.

Eternal Scourge goes infinite with Food Chain as well and is a way to cast prossh again if something goes horribly awry the first time.

I love prossh, I've tuned mine to play as a combo off asap deck. Enjoy;)

DragonMaster53, I love Food Chain combo and have that card, I just wouldn't like those two coming into my hand at separate times. I love the input, and I did think on it awhile, have the card, but a dead 3 mana 3/3 is the only thing that turns me off there.

What do you think about Xenagos, God of Revels over something like Urabrask the Hidden?

January 7, 2017 4:12 p.m.

Pleeber says... #11

MindAblaze I had Xenagos, God of Revels in here, he just seems like overkill. Urabrask the Hidden serves triple purpose: attacker/blocker, haste giver, and slows my opponent(s)

cujo253 says... #12

Xenagos God of revels is a combo with Prossh, Skyraider of Kher for instant win. I think overkill kind of undersells that, but that said Urabrask the Hidden is a great addition. And if you want to run Urabrask the Hidden, I'd suggest running Ogre Battledriver as well for a little extra consistency.

This comes with the disclaimer that I'm a spike player so, make of this what you will.

cujo253, I have tried to back away from so much combo, because if combo is destroyed or missing from my hand, the deck becomes weak. It's mostly combo still, but I more often win with non-combo means that are more difficult to deal with. I removed battle driver because of his drop, I'd like better benefit to expend my 4th turn, and 5 I usually play prossh with my ramp. After prossh hits, battle driver becomes unecessary, but Urabrask remains helpful.

How do you do on mana? Seems like there is no ramp and only a couple of artifact acceleration, whereas I feel Prossh's main enemy is going to be control so you'd want to come out swinging as fast as possible. I'd also suggest Kessig Wolf Run

Sorry I see the ramp now lol

This deck is awesome. I'm working on my own Prossh deck little by little, so this has given me some new ideas for it. Although, mine likely won't be as combo heavy. Just not much of a combo player.

Oros I understand the combo thing, but my goal was to make 1 good tier one deck. If you want some pointers, I'm happy to help. Prossh is beautiful. I appreciate your kind words and look forward to future contact.

what are your thoughts on Choke to starve blue combo players? seeing as there's some great t1 combo decks?

I have a little extra cash and kind of want to upgrade my list a bit, what tools would you use to combo off quicker and more consistently? I currently run demonic and vamp tutors, elvish and simian spirit guides, mana crpyt, as well as the squirrel nest/earthcraft combo.

also Shamanic Revelation is a great way to refill your hand

DragonMaster53 ditch the guides, use gamble and worldly tutor. I recommend more removal to give you more time. The guides are good, yes, but often you're better with other ramp (maybe dark ritual?) If I can help in any way, don't hesitate to ask. Good luck

DragonMaster53 choke would be amazing... When you hit against blue and if you get it in hand and in play. Prossh is built resilient to removal and control, so I wouldn't worry about it much.

DragonMaster53: I much prefer Carpet of Flowers as blue hate in a heavy blue meta. It's proactive protection, ramping your combo faster than they can get online or taxing them on mana if they play around it. Super versatile and a great t1 drop or late game where you can drop it to their 5 islands and pass with a smile. Only takes one island to pay for itself over and over!

Lol that description is fantastic, that being said I wouldn't call prosh a tier 1 edh.

C--8CLARK8--DI've done plenty of research and found that while he combos easy, it's mostly his color scheme that make him tier one. I don't net deck him, I built him to last just as a modern jund deck does.
