This deck made me lol so hard! Love it! I'm glad Master of the Feast and Notion Thief are being used together.

Would Dictate of Kruphix not work well in here? It synergizes with Notion Thief . just a though. +1

TheGamer. It would be good to have that interaction with Notion Thief , but this deck is going for a primarily Black spell list with splashes of blue. So the card may be harder to cast being double Blue. And we have plenty of other ways to draw our cards. Good suggestion though.

Hey thanks for the comment on my wall. I am liking this deck. I think Brain Maggot should be Duress and more if it. You'll be using it to get rid of counters and kill spells most likely, so this is cheaper and permanent. I could also see Silence the Believers as a 1 of being more useful if it was a Whip of Erebos . With the right hand, you could be swinging heavy, and gaining big chunks of life in case you need a little extra time to get another fatty online. It'll also bring back the fatty you lost for one more round of battle. I think Triton Tactics could work in this deck too, but I'm not sure what I would cut for it. The only other thing I might suggest is consider if Judge's Familiar could fit in this deck. It will help counter any issues you might run into during the early game protecting Master of the Feast when your mana is low. It will also throw off control players not paying close attention. I've countered sphinx revs with Judge's Familiar (in Game 1) when someone forgot about his ability after writing him off as a measly 1/1. Again, not sure what I would cut for him. And when Waste Not becomes available you should definitely consider using more discard spells. (I'm personally hoping Consult the Necrosages gets a reprint while Waste Not is in standard.)

In case you're not already familiar with waste not, it's going to be in M15

I just read though the game by game reviews. I have never seen those decks before at anthem. It would have been cool to see these awesome home brews at FNM! Congrats again!

maxon some good suggestions. I do agree that Whip of Erebos is a good racing card. I just really love the value and the effect I am seeing out of Silence the Believers . I haven't had any problems at all sticking a Master of the Feast and keeping it on board. It is nice to have that creature/counter spell, but the guys I play against are too smart to cast into a Judge's Familiar .

Waste Not does sound interesting. My deck does not want to play a full discard package. Just some disruption. I only gave back the spells to my opponent a few times. And by then it didn't matter. In a tempo race this deck really puts on pressure quickly.

doesn't Pain Seer kill you pretty quickly with this deck?

harrydemon117. It can. Lol. It did once. I learned my lesson. Playing three on the board at once is too much. Two was ok though.

If you want regeneration you could splash in green for Mending Touch and Golgari Charm .

kadonian. Good thought! When I built the list I specifically typed "regenerate" and "hexproof" into the standard card list seach. I had not one, but two occasions where Boon of Erebos gave me exactsies on damage on board. What a great common. It is absolutely crucial to this list. If I ever splashed green it would have been for Abrupt Decay and Golgari Charm , but I just haven't needed it.
