This is a deck designed to bleed people out, building on a zombie theme because zombies have many ways of causing loss of life in the game (Shepherd of Rot anyone?) and they make great sac fodder for ashnod's altar to build up mana for debt to the deathless and exsanguinate. Pontiff of Blight gives all my creatures extort so I can hit people for massive life damage. Oloro as a commander just seems right for this deck because of the life gain which will allow me to hit opponents for a huge bonds of agony without dying myself. He just helps keep my life as a resource stocked. The exquisite blood + sanguine bond is in there to speed along slow games that happen often. It's not something I would tutor for or even play unless the game was locked down. Mikaeus is there to help recover from board wipes. Vela and Diregraf Captain just tack on pain when I sac creatures or they are killed through other means. Athreos is a no brainer in this deck as he allows me to recur creatures or he hurts my opponents as I can target people that are low on life, forcing them to burn themselves or let me have a creature back. Its a win win for me with him. I added in some graveyard recursion, spot removal and a few counterspells for really nasty threats and some board wipes for emergencies.

The maybe board are things that I want to throw in but can't find a place for. I want to add in blood artist or falkenrath noble but they only target one person instead of the whole group
