Wound up going 2-1-1 at a small event to secure Top 8. Drew against a 4 color Eldrazi deck due to slow play on both sides, lost to Esper Dragons, beat a G/R Ramp deck and B/W Control. Played against the same Esper Dragons player in Top 8, losing again.
I had removed a lot of my sideboard options against Control the night before, since I was anticipating a lot more Aggro match ups than anything else. I did not have any Foul-Tongue Invocations, and often times found myself getting the Esper Dragons opponent down to 4 or 6 life before the game would get out of reach.
Chandra and Goblin Dark-Dwellers were pretty huge in most matches, so I wanted to bump them up a little bit in their numbers. Post-event, I took out the Wild Sashes since they will be rotating, and they often times were not needed (2 damage to the dome not the best, only really saved me once to help kill a 4 power creature).
Maindeck
-3 Wild Slash
+1 Chandra, Flamecaller
+1 Pulse of Murasa
+1 Goblin Dark-Dwellers
Sideboard going into the event:
1x Tasigur, the Golden Fang
2x Transgress the Mind
1x Ob Nixilis Reignited
1x Chandra, Flamecaller
2x Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet
1x Outpost Siege
2x Painful Truths
2x Radiant Flames
2x Self-Inflicted Wound
1x Pulse of Murasa
Sideboard after the event is still up in the air. I think I want to dedicate at least 2 more slots to removal - most likely a sac outlet for Dragonlord Ojutai if the deck becomes more popular again. Self-Inflicted Wound was decent, but not being able to respond at instant-speed, nor being able to have more than just 2 answers when it was untapped was annoying. I might take out the Ob Nixilis and the Pulse of Murasa for 2 Foul-Tongue Invocations. I may also be looking to move the Maindeck Pulse into the sideboard, and main deck a copy of Painful Truths instead.
I'm also a tad on the fence about Nissa - she's great at finding the now-2nd copy of basic Forest in the deck, but I also feel as if she always dies and is just a removal sink. That may not be the worst case for her, but I feel as if Painful Truths could provide me a similar advantage without immediately losing impact. If she ever flips, she can win a game pretty much on her own though - so I'm hesitant to remove her entirely (maybe Sideboard her, moving the Painful Truths main deck?)
The other option is to replace her with Yasova Dragonclaw, and make the deck a bit more aggressive in Game 1. Against mid-range decks, Yasova can steal anything that's less power than an Ojutai, can swap Kalitas and turn a board around, etc.
