Time Reversal does not kill the Crawler. State based checks aren't made until a spell or ability has finished resolving.

Thank you Aegair for clearing that up.

This deck works really well! Creature-wise, I have noticed that Runed Servitor is a great addition to this deck. Not only is he some early offense, but when combined with the Sphinx and the crawler, he is more damage and drawing. I also added more counters for stalling.

I love this deck for two reasons:1. You use Psychosis Crawler and consecrated sphinx, which are two of my new favorite creatures.2. You actually find a use for Distant Memories, which most people complain about as being a crappy excuse for a tutor. But you know better, and so do I.

I hate to even bring it up, but just in case you maybe have one lying around... Jace, the mind sculptor? That brain storm ability would just rape with the crawler. If you could squeeze it in, Infiltration Lens would be a "win more" card once it's on the crawler or the sphinx.

Oh, and I like the Little Girl maybeboard =P

Thanks for the feedback guys! glad you enjoy the deck.

Infectorus: - no, i dont have a jtms.. obviously a great choice though - infiltration lens is amazing for this deck, but in playing it i realise that i rarely attack the opponent, so i dont get a chance to use it. damage with this deck is mainly dealt through drawing cards. however, if i were to incorporate something like neurok commando, that would be a very cool combo.

You can't equip to Neurok Commando either. Shroud prevents targetting. Equip requires a target.

i realise that ( something like neurok commando ) is what i meant.

I ended up switching the Augury Owls for the Rune Servitors, mainly because it can stand up to a goblin guide and a number of other dangerous quick creature drops, but also because it puts your opponent on the defensive in the early stages while your building your combo. I am a big fan of Augury Owl, but there is enough scrying in this deck that it's unnecessary.

hmmm.. good point, i might throw it in.. it helps out with flying though..

April 13, 2011 2:28 p.m.

ok, so runed servitor + scroll thief + infiltration lens...absolutely nuts..

April 13, 2011 2:38 p.m.

just dont know what to take out..any help?

it sounds weird but the blue sun zenith im not sure on it just dosn't seem to really do any thing that spectacular untill late game and you have lots of mana but by then you should already have a huge card advantage what about Plated Seastrider in the side board agains agro-decks its a mean blocker early game Riddlesmith dosen't look terrible either it gives you a more flexible hand and is early blocker

April 13, 2011 8:44 p.m.

i agree with blue sun zenith.. i might throw in scroll thief or 2x more rune servitors.

thanks!

I agree on the zenith, I like the servitors better than the thief because you are almost always guaranteed a card, and it combos late game with your sphinx. :)

I really like Blue Sun Zenith in this deck, because it absolutely kills when you have a sphinx and a crawler out. It's a mass draw card that can target the opponent. I won a game in this manner, hitting my opponent with twelve damage. One major thing I have learned about this deck is that is mana ramps really well for a blue deck. Everytime I have played this deck, it's a land drop nearly every turn. Oh, and on blocking flyers, I suggest more counters and bounce cards to keep them at bay until the sphinx comes out.

Surrakar Spellblade seems like it could help. Paired with Distortion Strike it alone draws you 3 when left unchecked, not counting any counterspells or other sorceries you may cast in the meantime. Distortion Strike doesn't seem like a bad choice as a 2-3 of for a pumped crawler to begin with. Consider the spellblade too.

As for the SB, i don't know how much valakut you run into, but i like to run 4x Flashfreeze and 3-4x Spreading Seas against them.

Also 2 more Jace Beleren against control to kill big brother if that's popular in your meta.

Thanks!
