Sideboard

Maybeboard

What really needs to be worked out with this deck (as you'll notice it's likely over 60 cards) is what needs to be moved to sideboard status, as there's some uncertainty over what to maindeck and what to sideboard. I also have the startings of a sideboard.

Furthermore, considering splashing blue for a small handful of Etherium Sculptors to turbocharge the deck, but the staple Puresteel Paladin is WW, so there's a good enough reason not to.

This deck is largely midrange, but it is more than capable of pulling off a T3-4 with a Plate-charged Kor Duelist as a 10/10 double strike, though such swift victories are unlikely. What this deck DOES do consistently, is grow wildly out of control.

The main combo present is Puresteel Paladin and Leonin Shikari, between which it is possible to instant-equip for 0-mana, which allows me to "slide" equipment around freely. This gives me access to pseudo mass indestructibility, shroud, haste, lifelink, etc. making it so that any blocking choice is ultimately the WRONG choice and allowing me to easily react to all but Split Second Effects and boardwipes.

The 1xs are largely for flavor and to allow incredibly flexibility, but it isn't out of the question to transition to a 3x 4x deck focusing on mass-combo-ing using the 0-cost equipments like BoNeSaW which ultimately produce free card draw and take me one step closer to having Metalcraft active.

Typical win-con here is get down the the Surestrike Trident and buff a single creature to the max, then stab with it. If the opponent has no answer, I can slide the lot of them onto the next creature and try again.

This deck prefers low CASTING cost equipments over low equip costs.

Sample of general dickery:

Scythe of the Wretched + Viridian Longbow + Basilisk Collar to kill an enemy creature (and gain 1 life), which returns that creature to play under my control - give it haste with Swiftfoot Boots and do it all again!

Or block a creature with Kusari-Gama and the Collar to wipe out the opponent's board.

Play pass-the-sharp-throwing-object with Heartseeker or Surestrike Trident to cause severe pain and/or murder.

Swing away with an unblockable, double strike Duelist after binging on equip-plays to overextend my hand for one turn to make full use of the Empyrial Plate (1 card draw per equip per Paladin adds up fast!)

SUMMON BLOODY KALDRA TO BEAT THEM DOWN! (please note that the Helm hilariously allows for Kaldra to be re-summoned as many times as I want, each time replacing the old one. Since it has haste, I can simply kill Kaldra whenever I'm afraid someone's going to enchant, target or... anything it at any time.)

Pulled out the Steelshaper's Apprentice, he was pretty good, but generally not good enough.

In his stead is Elspeth, Knight-Errant who I've been hiding in my cruddy white legacy deck which I'm stripping for its valuable resources...

Was an impulse decision, and as I've seen through testing, she really makes the difference. This deck typically suffers from a lack of creatures, and her ability to drop out tokens (with synergy no less!) is invaluable, and the +3/+3 and flying is just as good. Furthermore, her ultimate making all of my Artifacts indestructable is also very handy if I can keep her strong enough.
