Thanks again, Gamer0298, you're flattering me, haha.

This deck goes undefeated everywhere I take it. I love the versatility (especially for a mono-red deck!) that this has.

Go with a ton of goblins or go infinite or shock with Purph and so on! Glad you enjoy it!

@MaChoRyS Oh wow. I totally didn't catch that. Thanks for telling me about that. I'll totally have to remember that next time I attempt to pull that off lmao.

By the Commanders ability I think the like of Impact Tremors and Outpost Siege may help with dealing extra damage on Entry and leaving the battlefield. may be worth having them.

Impact Tremors is already in the deck, and it is definitely a good piece, Ninja_T0-_-0! It's like a pseudo-Purphoros, God of the Forge, so if I can't cast my general Impact Tremors can definitely fill in.

Outpost Siege wouldn't be bad because either option could be useful, but I don't think it's the right card for this deck. If I find something that could be easily swapped out for it I will, though!

freakingShane Oh... So it is, Apologies... Guess I was just distracted by the great artwork in the background ;) as for outpost siege, I just thought with all the sacrificing some of the cards in this deck carry out, it would be a good way to get even more value from your goblin token horde haha.

freakingShane says... #7

No worries, Ninja_T0-_-0! And you are right about all the sacrificing that goes on. I'm not saying that it won't go in the deck. I'll just need to play around with it and see how it impacts the deck!

Thanks for your suggestion, and you are right, that art gets distracting. ;)

Hey, i great card i added to my deck was Goblin Chirurgeon. I would trade Mass Hysterya for it cuz idk...ALL creatures having haste may not be the best always.

December 24, 2016 4:31 p.m.

freakingShane says... #9

That will definitely need to reconsidered. I had Goblin Chirurgeon at an earlier point in this deck, but I have been wondering for awhile whether or not Mass Hysteria should go, and if so, what should replace it.

Thanks, man! MaChoRyS

Would someone mind explaining to me how to get the background a certain card? thx in advance :)

I second the vote about Spitfire. You really underestimate it's ability to kill someone outright. If you're in a 4 player pod and you bring two goblins into play, that's 6 triggers, or a 19/3 flyer. I've had it hit into the hundreds before as early as turn 5

It is two separate pieces of code that you will need to put into your deck's description.

< link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="https://dl.dropbox.com/s/fqxpobte7n2g7wh/TappedOutProfileCustom.css?dl=0" />

< img src=" Insert URL of Image here" style="position:fixed;top:0px;left:0px;width:100%;height:100%;z-index:-1;" / >

You will need to delete the space between the < and the text as well as the space between the text and the >.

Nintura

Spitfire is a good card, but in this build the goal is to go wide fast, and if you win, great. If going wide isn't enough though, there are cards that buff all my goblins up permanently and would end up bringing more value than just one flyer that pumps up. If Spit was a 2 drop then it would be an auto-include, but there seems to be more efficient alternatives.

Thanks for your comment!

Goblin decks need mana echoes

Mana Echoes is a really good card and could definitely end up in this deck, hound77. The only thing I don't like about it is the 4 CMC it has.

I will test around with it though, and if I find a good switch for it I will be adding it for sure!

I would personally drop some of the crappy gobbos for more token producers, they can be goblin tokens if you wanted.

Without winning via combo, you are left with 2 avenues for victory: God Burn, and Combat Damage.

Running a bunch of 1 power guys will take far, far too long to kill off a multiplayer table via combat damage, even if you manage to get a decent enough form of evasion that allows you to swing through unblocked. The deck is also very weak to boardwipes, as it needs a large field of gobbos in order to benefit much from any tribal benefits, or more importantly, to be able to swing wide past blockers.

Adding more token generation will help cover all those bases, as well as significantly upping the direct damage potential of the deck, helping to push through that last bit of damage required for a kill once all the tiny gobbos are outpaced by big badass creatures your opponents will inevitably play in the mid/late game.

Have you considered Norin the Wary and/or Grinning Ignus for repeatable ETB triggers? During my testing of a similar Purphoros deck, I found great success through them.

RoarMaster

I don't personally know any crappy goblin in the deck. I have trimmed the fat from this deck over the past year, and when I play it all of my creatures do something important, if not vital, for me winning.

Even if a bulk of creatures are 1/1's, I have lots of anthems and cards like Door of Destinies/Coat of Arms and such. Evasion is very easy to get in this deck as well, because a large number of goblins grant all my goblins some form of evasion or I play Goblin War Drums.

Board wipes are actually another strong suit in this deck. Since my avg. CMC is 2.75, the deck is very resilient and I am able to reestablish massive board states in no time, and the other players are still behind which allows me to take advantage of them. Thanks for dropping by and lending your concerns!

TheNighthawk

I tested Grinning Ignus for a possible infinite combo, but ended up passing because it was too much work for a combo. As for Norin the Wary, I do love his ability, but I personally like to get some damage out of my creatures, and he wouldn't allow that nor get the buffs from my counter-granting cards unfortunately...

I appreciate these though, and they are definitely good for a Purph deck, but for how I pilot mine I don't think I would like them much. Thanks for stopping by with suggestions! :)

RoarMaster says... #18

Grinning Ignus is a mini-combo in and of itself, you just need your Commander out.

Pay R: Deal 2 Dmg to Each Opponent.

Its great for dumping mana into to finish opponents off.

January 22, 2017 2:34 a.m.

freakingShane says... #19

That's why I liked Grinning Ignus, but I was trying to get an infinite combo where I was able to generate that and do that infinitely, RoarMaster.

January 22, 2017 9:13 a.m.

RoarMaster says... #20

Just saying that a combo doesnt have to be infinite in order to be game winning. With a Cloud Key\Mana Echoes out it doesnt even cost you mana(just color). Both of which are cards which work great in the deck anyway. Anyway, ignus has been an all star player in my Purph deck since he was added, which is also goblin tribal oddly enough, haha :)

Mana Echoes has got to find a place in here. I'm currently testing around with it to see where it would work best, because if I could abuse that with Skullclamp I could almost play my whole deck, haha. RoarMaster

Another nice card is Sneak Attack. It lets you play your token generating creatures for a R. Imagine this:

R: Sneak in Grinning Ignus. Deal 2 damage.R: Bounce GI back to your hand, get 2R in your pool.R: Sneak in Grinning Ignus. Deal 2 damage.

Repeat all you want.

Another fun one is combining sneak attack with Conjurer's Closet.

freakingShane says... #24

All of which are great cards, Nintura, especially Sneak Attack, but my golly would I need to change some strategy around! Haha.

Definitely some fun shenanigans there, and I'll be needing to play around with that. Thanks for those fun ideas!

Yeah, I just pulled one in an eternal masters pack and was wondering if it would fit into my purph deck (been playing it for a couple years now) and Ignus just screamed back at me lol. You even get to net 2 colorless mana every time you bounce him.

Here's ultimate magic christmas land. You have Purph, Sneak Attack, Panharmonican, and Closet in play.

You Sneak in Myr Battlesphere, get 8 Myr Tokens, stack 18 Purph triggers. Move to EoT, blink Battlesphere out, negating Sneak Attack's sacrifice. Get 8 more Myr Tokens, triggering Purph 18 more times. You just dealt 72 damage to everyone for a single Red mana.
