Gotta ask why no madcap or Rubblebelt Maaka s?

I'd drop a Striker and go for the playset of Maulers. I'd also remove Pyro boy and put in Ashe Zealots of madcap skills in replace.

Rubblebelt Maaka doesn't really fit with the deck, Madcap Skills is tempting but I don't really want to drop creatures for enchantments.

I've always found having 4 Lightning Mauler to be excessive and Young Pyromancer plays way better than Ash Zealot in this deck.

Just as a post rotation tip i could see Ogre Battledriver replacing hellrider in a red deck wins. Thoughts on that?

Exactly what I plan on doing, have also thought about going with a few Awaken the Ancient . Am hoping for a good 1 drop in theros though b/c I'm not in love with Legion Loyalist .

Spark Trooper isn't a bad option for the 4-drop slot.. Makes you splash some white, but at the same time opens up some cool spells.

Kinda depends on what Theros' releases.

Mutavault is a waste granted it is a good card no denying that but in such a fast played deck you much rather spend that mana on other things, Mizzium Mortars is another card that you wont want to spend on because you cant target player, its a good threat remover but you have other burn i would rather spend 2 mana on 2 Shock then the same mana on Mizzium Mortars for the simple reason i can target the player if i choose. overall i like this take on the deck, maybe with Young Pyromancer you want to main 2 Skullcrack generally there is a lot of lifegain going around so it is never a wasted card in the mainboard but even if there is no lifegain its 3 to the face who can argue with that

also side Legion Loyalist it is your answer to Voice of Resurgence which i keep seeing pop up more and more often where i play

I wouldn't run any Mutavault s. With only 20 lands, it's hard to hit your third land drop anyway, and having a colorless land means you can't cast Boros Reckoner reliably. I think it's well worth it to just play mountains instead. The reckoner is way more powerful than mutavault and I think they're mutally exclusive here.

Ya, Mutavault worked with my more burn heavy 25 mana base deck but now I have noticed it's more of a hinderance. Mizzium Mortars is another card that I should have dumped when switching, I guess I only kept it to deal with my local creature heavy meta but it is definitely more suitable for a sideboard. Will probably switch with Skullcrack . Legion Loyalist is a good call for sideboard, not really in love with Blasphemous Act anyway.

since you took out the Ghor-Clan Rampager i'm not sure why you still have Burning-Tree Emissary

if its for the mana bump maybe switch it to Priest of Urabrask or if you wanted to go back to gruul, you could do Radha, Heir to Keld instead

Burning-tree is great in red deck wins

BTE is a RDW staple card now, also this deck is standard.

It makes no sense not using Ogre Battledriver the synergy between him and pyromancer is like having Hostility while still getting the burn damage. you will see this more and more.

It's Hellrider or Ogre Battledriver , Hellrider wins.

I don't see the point of Young Pyromancer if you only have 13 spells that trigger his ability.

Need more instant/Sorceries to make use of Young Pyromancer I recommend takeing it out for a better aggro creature. LIke Ogre Battledriver

"Only 13 spells?" That's a lot in a mono-red deck. And don't forget, all those spells bring back phoenix. This isn't some crazy Burn at the Stake combo deck. It just uses Pyromancer for value, not as a win con. Ogre Battledriver is not nearly as good as Hellrider . It takes one more turn do anything and doesn't even have haste.
