why these sites are good . i like the pilgrims, but I run white in it too. the only problem is when people shut the mana dorks off =S go big or go home i guess lol.

the sideboard is really just about specific answers against what is commonly done, which is different from area to area. I saw a lot of aggro when i poked my head in friday, so the faithmenders will be really nice against that XD sort of have to catch the reckoner with a counterspell though lol

I'm thinking about throwing in a few o'rings. you might want to take a look at Rapid Hybridization.

this deck seems to have a bit of trouble against zombies, I'm not sure what simic has to answer that though.

Don't remove Elvish Visionary imo! If they spent a removal for him i'd be happy (it boosts your Elvish Archdruid as well)

@omgroflme: See, I'd considered that as well as the prospect of occasionally bouncing the Elvish Visionary through the Conjurer's Closet to draw free cards during my EoT step. The problem is that my mana curve is really high in this deck, and even with my ramp options I guess I'm getting nervous about cuts and alterations. I can't see myself cutting Thragtusk or Master Biomancer, for example, to include Farseek. What I can do is knock out another two-cost spell like Elvish Visionary.

I'm wondering if I can't retool the deck a little bit to make better use of the low-CMC slots and rely more on Farseek and Borderland Ranger to draw those lands. But that leaves me with little to cut but my higher-cost creatures (basically, my win-cons). I'm pretty stuck on the Instant selection I have, although as Wolfsage13 said, part of me would like to include Rapid Hybridization in my sideboard if nothing else.

At this point I don't just need advice about what new cards to include or play test; I need some pointers about which deletions or substitutions to make, as well. Because honestly, I feel like I'm being pointed in fifty directions and I can't play test them all effectively. I want this thing to be competitive--even if it's never T1.

Why did you get rid of Acidic Slime from your sideboard? He's a must have!

@TikiShades: While I'm inclined to agree, the fact is that there are a lot of good sideboard options and I have a hard time evaluating what's truly the most effective setup. I don't really trust one- and two-of sideboard options because with two copies of a card in your deck, you have only a 48.98% chance of drawing one by turn 10. This means that cards I find critical against control, such as Curse of Echoes and Negate, I wanted 3-4 copies of, apiece. Ultimately, I ran out of room and saw no choice but to pull Acidic Slime.

I finally got a chance to run this deck in tournament, when it worked/was allowed to work it went off like a nuke. Alas my meta punishes tempo decks pretty hard so I think I'm going to end up going back to a variation of green white, but I might give it another week, i just didnt get the biomaster in most of the games, and my mana was hating on me pretty hard XD

@Wolfsage13: i'm sorry to hear it didn't work out well for you. Mana screw really shouldn't be an issue with this deck unless all of your dorks got fried, each and every game. As for Jace, Memory Adept, I'm not feeling him in this one. This deck isn't built for control or mill, and Jace does best in a deck that offers both. I suppose he could be a potential win condition, but I wouldn't ever bet on it happening.

I've been seeing him in a few bant sideboards; because the deck likes to stall out so much with the recurring lifegain, it seems like he would be a nice way to get over their front line.

Yeah this deck plays out like a tempo deck, and my meta said no XD The counterspells didnt influence the game as much as I would have liked them too. I'm trying a variation that runs alchemists refuge as well, and we'll see if that gets around it. Jund and america control seems to be the worst match ups so far, but there wasnt any esper where I am.

It would be awesome if you would check out my elf deck Mono Green Elf Deck and see if you could give me any suggestions.
