I agree with elitestgen. I'd start with 4 more Swamp and a Darksteel Ingot for ramp. If $$$ isn't an issue, Phyrexian Tower is nice too. Being able to sac your own guys is very useful, especially if you have plenty of ways to bring them back.
You might also consider some form of versatile removal, even if it's something like Ratchet Bomb or Spine of Ish Sah . You've got several tutors, so just one or two cards would give you a chance if something really oppressive hits the board.

Thanks for the advice, I find the low mana count pretty reliable, I have won with this deck every time I played it. Granted I have not yet had to deal with a blue control deck as of yet but the mana has never been a problem. In light of the suggestions I added card:Journeyer's Kite to help with any mana problems. Cabal Coffers Is awesome but is a little expensive, but its definitely on my buy list
I went ahead and subbed in Profane Command , I was on the fence with it but I'm seeing the versatility be useful.
Damnation is well outside of my budget for the deck, and Decree of Pain is on my buy list for sure.
I absolutely dislike Necropotence , it turns me into a massive target, and burns my life a little too fast for my taste. I have multiple sources of card advantage in this deck, Graveborn Muse Bloodgift Demon , Staff of Nin , Phyrexian Arena .

you can also use the Mindcrank /Bloodchief Ascension infinite combo

I find infinite combos to be rather anti-climatic victories. In my playgroup if some one does an infinite combo the player "wins" and the game continues on without that player.
Whilst I do like Mindcrank , I try to avoid relying on other player's creatures. Bloodchief Ascension is pretty awesome and is on my buy list, I just don't know what to replace.

You might put in a Mimic Vat because when you can sit there with Rune-Scarred Demon and tutor whenever you need to, or Solemn Simulacrum under it and ramp your mana every turn. Also if you ran Fleshbag Marauder you could make people sac a creature every turn, then with that, you could put in Butcher of Malakir so each time, they sac two creatures instead and on top of that you could have Grave Pact and with Grave Betrayal on the field you can just see where it gets silly. Just make sure your enchantment stays there. Sorry for all the rambling.

Also, what are you thoughts on infinite combos? You could do Mikaeus, the Unhallowed with Triskelion for gratuitous amounts of damage as well as many other Mikaeus combos you can think of.

Thanks v3ranyx93 for the comments. I actually ran all of the cards you mentioned at one time or another except Triskelion . I removed them for one reason or another along the way when building and playing this deck over the past few months. I'm thinking of switching No Mercy or Oversold Cemetery out in favor of Grave Pact .
I hate to rely on Mimic Vat for shenanigans since it exiles the creature. Whilst the vat is in play though, all sorts of hilarity ensues. But as it is, I think I might put it back in, but I think i removed it because of all of the aggro it generates at the table.
I personally don't like infinite combos, too anti-climatic for my taste. I prefer long games with big plays all around the table. I love the look of 9+ creatures staring down the opposition, smashing a players health pool, only to see a Blasphemous Act wipe the field.

would Crypt of Agadeem work in this deck?
September 24, 2013 10:07 a.m.
Unfortunately this deck reanimates its creatures a bit to fast for Crypt of Agadeem to be worth it, also since I run so many cards like Crypt Ghast , it often slows me down.

ah yeah you do have Ghast and the Revenant in here, so it wouldn't really be too advantageous. maybe Bojuka Bog for spot graveyard exile?

I Added it to my sideboard, in my meta I'm the only one that normally runs graveyard, but occasionally I do play against The Mimeoplasm .

Not enough land, too many creatures.
Also, while I understand that you want to be able to deal with certain decks in your meta appropriately, you can't lose sight of your own goals.
Some recommendations: Damnation is just good, only costs 4, wins vs creatures. Decree of Pain can help you beat goblins and saprolings and elves etc, or draw tons of cards later. Profane Command is one of the best cards black has to offer aside from Necropotence , which you are also missing. Cabal Coffers is really busted too, btw.
I can't really tell you what to cut because I don't know how you want the deck to play / win. My advice is just closely examine all of your cards (particularly creatures) and if they aren't relevant to how you want to play / win OR devastating to your opponents, cut them or move them to the mayeboard.
