Maybe, I was looking at other cheap cats, and it was between Elite Cat Warrior
, Leonin Den-Guard
, Whitemane Lion
, and Blade of the Sixth Pride
.
Blade obviously has the damage, Whitemane messes with targeting and adds to Quest, Leonin is just a good vigilance blocker which may or may not be better than Grizzled Leotau
, and Elite is a Cat and Warrior, as well as forestwalk, which is actually a bigger deal than it should be.
So I guess it'd be between Whitemane Lion
and Elite Cat Warrior

Just one Pacifism ? I'm also personally a huge fan of Scythe Tiger . Maybe throw a Pride of Lions for some late game asskicking?

canterlotguardian, Lately with things like Anger of the Gods and Mutilate starting to see more lower tier legacy play, a few points of toughness is REALLY nice, so overall, I like Behemoth Sledge more than Loxodon Warhammer

btw is your deck title a reference to the Outback Steakhouse slogan "No rules, just right"?
January 20, 2014 10:45 a.m.
xD
No. Its not an intentional reference, just the guidelines for how the deck was constructed originally.

Just so you know, technically if you use Quest for the Holy Relic to get Batterskull , your batterskull will equip to the chosen creature from the quest, then it will create a 0/0 germ, and attach itself to the germ. So you can get the batterskull+creature, but not onto a creature you control.
August 23, 2014 2:25 a.m.
Yea. You sac the Quest, get Batterskull , attach it to a dude, if any. Then the ETB of Batterskull fires as it was waiting to go on the stack, Germ comes in and Batterskull attaches to it.

Just made sure you knew, cause I had this problem arise in a game I played. So I just thought to mention it.
August 23, 2014 2:42 a.m.
No, yea, its a valid point to make, especially to people reading this that didn't know that.

I've had your deck tucked in a folder for a while and decided I wanted to tryout this combo, and thought about adding in Kitchen Finks and Anafenza, Kin-Tree Spirit in the mix for counters and life gain, currently the build is on private but would love your input once it is up and running :D

I can probably tell you right away that Junk Aristocrats with like 2 Batterskulls and Quest for the Holy Relic is probably the direction you're going in, if not just cutting the equipment idea.

Brimaz, King of Oreskos maybe? It is a cat deck after all.

Quest for the Holy Relic sounds like fun with Kemba, Kha Regent.
June 2, 2015 5:30 a.m.
I have found Kemba in the past to be incredibly slow and if I were to run bigger cats, I'd rather run Brimaz for efficiency or Marisi's Twinclaws for doublestrike for triggers on swords.
I took out most of the bigger cards in the deck, to be lower to the ground, and be able to cast more creatures at once and get the investment from Quest for the Holy Relic. If anything, I have found that I would love to figure out if Temur Battle Rage is playable, first instinct is no.. not in this deck.

Hi there! I absolutely love this deck's theme.
You mentioned you had trouble with burn decks. Consider Sanctimony. No one sees it coming and it completely wrecks any RDW if you get it soon enough. They can never out-pace your life gain before they run out of gas.
June 7, 2015 3:52 a.m.
@ Hubologist, LOL Do I know you? haha. I have Sanctimony on my list of cards to get actually! I don't think it belongs in this deck, but I'm getting them next week for sure.
I actually just did a tiny bit of testing against burn tonight, and was 2/1. But lost game two, just to pace WITH a Kor Firewalker, but won game 3 because I made it so I had 10 sideboard cards brought in, mostly just having more threats, and the pro-red swords.
I'm considering increasing the amount of Kor Firewalker.

No, I don't think we know each other lol. I just stumbled upon your deck and though I'd leave a suggestion. You're right in that Sanctimony doesn't really belong, but it does shut down burn decks.
June 7, 2015 4:20 a.m.
Not sure if anyone has suggested it before but how about Argentum Armor?
June 10, 2016 2:31 a.m.
@Sinist3r, yea people have suggested higher costing equipment before, but it always boils down to, if I draw this, am I dead? Where as, the others are good enough drawing into and even better if I can cheat them out.

Fair enough, other than that cool build! It's fun seeing cool zoo variants +1
