On my latest escapade I took my wacky RUG Standard deck, Sure, I'll Put My Genius on Hold for Awhile through and after a bit of level training on Dominaria I took my hard earned cash back to Ravnica and spent a large chunk of it getting that right permit to access the Rakdos Theater.

While I was there, I took a gander at the prize list and I thought to myself "Meh. Ok. Not bad. Already in my deck." Then down there at the bottom of the list was a particular trinket that made me as giddy as the day I found Omnislash on the Battle Square prize list in Final Fantasy 7.

I shall resist my urge to spoil said items, but I must say unto ye...Thank you, Askani28. You've made my QUEST MAGIC day.

Wow Emrakool, you've already seen the expansion? I just plugged it yesterday, didn't even announce it loll. Well, you're officially my new beta tester loll. :)

There's something I'd really like to know: when you play the Rakdos expansion, could you tell me how much points you make? Need a few feedback to adjust it if needed.

Will see what I can do. The permit fees brought me down to around 20 gold so I went back out into the wilderness to make my fortune again. Planning to beef up to Level 4 then head back from Tolaria when I get there. I definitely like the feats and multiplier ideas! Gotta see how many I can do now.

Just to make sure I'm not confused, does the Flamboyant Demise mean I have to get killed at -10 or worse or I can overkill an opponent for that much?

I'll modify the Prize List to make things more clear. Thanks for the input! :)

Playing through again with mono-green devotion in modern. I'm excited for the golgari stuff.

@ 323Dimitri: The Golgari expansion is not ready yet, but it will be soon. You can always come back later during your quest to see if it's ready. Scrolls available at merchants will also be updated soon.

SPOILER: the entrance to the Golgari Gorgon Garden will be somewhere in the sewers of Ravnica... ;)

I have a question - I've already passed with a BUG Midrange, however the end was not satisfying for me. Especially because my planeswalker friends seem so powerless. Two of them weren't doing anything the entire fight, lol. Tezzeret trapped Venser and he couldn't break free from such a simple spell. Bolas psychic strike could not be interrupted by Jace nor Liliana. When I won the second fight against Bolas, why I didn't kill him outright? Why did I wait? If I were a planeswalker and were put in such position, I would finish him already, but in the quest, we just stood still and reacted way too late.

Don't get me wrong - I am really amazed how did you manage to create something like this. I am attempting to do something similar, but I am not even half as good in it as you.

The hardest fight was probably the fight against the Germs in Mirrodin - the only fight I've lost, happily not because of poison or it would be game over. Why did I lose? Turn 1, he had Frogmite , Ornithopter , Mox Opal , Tooth of Chiss-Goria , Myr Superion , Tree of Tales and Signal Pest . What. The. Fck. His hand was empty the first turn and I didn't even get to use removal. xD

The easiest fight was... there were no easy fights. Really. Every fight was challenging, but the one I've described is my only loss, so...

By the way, where did you get all the information about all planes? Is this your fiction or is this true? I mean, Phyrexian Oil. Vault of Whispers. Norn's Annex. How do you know what is written on the altars, how do you know where everything is?

For me, Mirrodin was the best plane, despite being the hardest. It was really flavorful and HUGE, I didn't visit all places on Mirrodin despite passing this game twice!

However, Dominaria(Urborg) was the worst section I think, because I didn't get to choose where do I go. There was only one proper path.

It would be nice if you added some more planes, for example - Alara before being cleansed by Nicol Bolas, Shandalar, Kamigawa.

I really appreciate your work.

PS. How do you do those decks? None of them are OP, yet they are all a pleasure to fight against. They are really flavorful, they fit the theme and they use cards that were considered as crap, yet they are good in those decks. Do you have a method?

@Teleshar: I've finished a Shandalar expansion that will be up when Askani approves it and I believe I read in the comments that someone was making his/her own Kamigawa expansion

March 2, 2014 6:07 p.m.

@korakhos yeah, the whole thing is planned out, its just a matter of assembling it

Hey Teleshar! Thanks for the critic! It's really appreciated. I would have liked to create more options at the end of the game, more scenarios where your allies would have done something to help. But, it's only html so it has its limits. I did what I could to make the game interesting while keeping the workload its creation required reasonable.

The only books I read were the original 3 Ravnica books, which were really great, and I also read Scars of Mirrodin, which was a complete waste of time, sadly. But I've read a bunch of stuff on the net about Mtg's storyline, and Wizards's Planeswalker Guides. So my story is inspired by the original Mtg setting, but largely modified, as you've probably noticed.

Thanks for your compliment about the decks of the game! I really don't have any specific strategy when building decks, I only play casual with my friends. Every deck I build in real life has only one goal: to be fun to play with and against. So I'm always trying to make them good but not too good, etc. Btw, I own most of the decks in the game in real life (every boss deck and a few others). I've modified them to fit the Preparation Turns rule, and to make them easier to play (for example, I've removed the 4 Burning Wish and the 4 Cunning Wish from the "final boss" deck, because they would have been too complicated to manage for players).

New expansions are coming out soon: korakhos has made a Shandalar plane, I'm finishing playtesting it to plug it in the game ; and I'm finishing the Golgari Gorgon Garden and the Dimir Infiltration mini-expansions. The Azorius Prefecture and the Rakdos Theater mini-expansions are already online :)

You are a sadist. Getting this document from Prefecture... #mindblown

Theater is awesome, I would play there every day.

Hey Teleshar, what's "RPG - A Journey To Nowhere"?

March 10, 2014 11:49 p.m.

Teleshar says... #14

It is my attempts at creating an RPG. Sadly I do not possess your skills and the technical thing isn't even finished yet, plus it's in my native language at the moment.

The project isn't discontinued, but I have yet to make it playable outside of my computer - I need to learn HTML.

March 11, 2014 9:01 a.m.

Askani28 says... #15

Teleshar what's your native language? If you want I could send you a few of my html templates by email.

March 11, 2014 11:43 a.m.

Teleshar says... #16

It is Polish. Yes, I am Polish. :)

It could be useful, but you'd need to explain what do you use them for.

March 11, 2014 12:32 p.m.

Askani28 says... #17

Damn it I don't speak polish... lol. Only french. The html I used is pretty simple, if you want a few templates just give me your email I'll send some. You should be able to get it just by looking at the code and at the result. It's mostly links and layout. I actually don't know anything about html loll.

NEW EXPANSIONS READY TO BE PLAYED!

After adding the Azorius Prefecture and the Rakdos Theater expansions, today I just added the Dimir Infiltration and the Golgari Gorgon Garden expansions on Ravnica! Tell me what you think! :)

You sir are a great citizen of the internet.I can't +1 you enough.

I played the Golgari Gorgon Garden expansion. I have to say it - I was disappointed. It was really short, like 10 or 15 places to visit. North way was blocked, west way was blocked, east way led me to gorgons(I entered with eyes shut, oh yeah) but I couldn't find another way, so I left with sad face.

Maybe I did not find out how to go further, but hey, it's quite short.

Dimir Infiltration - I believe it is the quest you get from the Notion Thief? If so, I have no idea where can I get into the lab to get this... thing. When I go into the Simic Medical Lab, nothing has changed. Every option is the same, like I didn't even get this quest.

March 27, 2014 3:13 p.m.

Askani28 says... #22

Teleshar loll, yeah, the Golgari gorgon garden can only be accessed correctly by completing the Dimir Infiltration, and to infiltrate the Simic lab, you need to bring a scroll of jump to the thief!

March 28, 2014 7:27 a.m.

Teleshar says... #23

I have one and i dont see the option to give it to him

March 28, 2014 9:51 a.m.

Askani28 says... #24

Where did you get your scroll of jump? In the game, the only place you can get one is on Zendikar, when you meet Tamyo. Earlier in the game, since its impossible to have the scroll, I didn't put the link. When you reach the Zendikar mission, the link will become available.
