Sorry for the extra post but I forgot to mention this... If you are a lower level player and defeat an enemy of higher level than you, should you not get an xp bonus or something like in a typical RPG? It just seems unfair that when you only have 1 prep turn and they have 3 and you still win , you don't get rewarded more for it. I also don't know if I have been using these prep turns correctly lol. I have been using them basically as playing the game but without affecting the other player (drawing cards at the start of each turn and what not). Just figured I'd ask :P

Very well put together. I especially like the number, variety, and quality of decks the player has to pilot. I was especially intrigued by the Karn and Vorinclix decks and would like to Tinker around with them.
All in all a job well done. +1(+1 for the deck designer to :P )

It will be necessary to make expansions or more stories. Long term it could evolve into something really big. One of my favorite ways to experience mtg.

INTERESTED IN CREATING AN EXPANSION FOR THIS GAME?
@browner4ever: Well the world is already set. Adding a little expansion would really be cool. If someone wants to create a side-quest on a new plane or deeper in Ravnica, I would be glad to modify the game to add the links pointing to this new place.
@Everyone!: Seriously, it someone is up to the task, it would really be cool. For example, just before going to Zendikar or Mirrodin, I could add a new destination to planeswalk to in the list of planes. If anyone wants to create that destination (and create a little side-quest of his own there), any player would then have the opportunity to planeswalk there and play the expansion, then planeswalk back to the main campaign.
Someone wants to start game-designing? Just a little side-quest would be great, it doesn't have to be big. It could be a few more streets in Ravnica, with an encounter, a battle against a boss, a treasure, scroll or item, etc. Or a planeswalk link to a city on Innistrad, one or two battles, then the player returns to the main campaign. Or.... What if someone would actually create an expansion on ALARA? In the campaign, at the end, the player has the choice of planeswalking to Alara, but there's only one scenario page there and thats it. It would really be cool if someone would build a couple of scenario pages on Alara, add a real dialogue, a city, etc. Even if the plane is collapsing, there could still be a little adventure happening there.
If anyone wants to create an expansion, I'll be happy to share my html templates and links and all.

I think I could try making an expansion maybe on Alara or maybe Lorwyn I don't no very much about html but i have a basic understanding of links and how to create them.
Maybe you could have a completely new campaign on Lorwyn where while you there the plane transforms to Shadowmoor and you need to save the plane sorta like the original Lorwyn block except you not an outcast elf who turns into a hero. Or.. Maybe you could turn into some evil monster who wants to Annihilate everybody and you could switch poit of view to the new hero who's fighting against you (the evil villain) and you could be your own boss fight?
If you where on Alara you could have some kind of a "we need to find Progenitus because he's the only one who can save the plane from collapsing" quest? Or maybe Alara busts into shards again except with new colour groupings (ex. GUB, RUW, WBR, UGR, BWG.)
You could planeswalk to kamigawa and have a little peace treaty sub-quest where you need to deliver messages back and forth between the mortals and the kami. Then have Maga, Traitor to Mortals show up and try to obliterate Kamigawa in rage after the peace treaty's been signed by the Kami.
Or you could go to Innistrad and have to save the humans from a breed of were-wolves that the Skirsdag have created that can pierce Avacyn's magical barriers of new zombie tech from the Nephalia necromancers. You could help Odric, Master Tactician build up an army to charge Stensia in an attempt to destroy the last of the vampires, then have Sorin pop up and get pissed at you and betray you by killing Odric, Master Tactician then attacking you.
Maybe you could expand more on Mirrodin and let the player become a Phyrexian unlocking a bunch of phyrexian shops but locking you out of the resistance camp, instead of dying every time you try to become phyrexian. Maybe have assasination missions against important members of the resistance. Perhaps expanding on the idea that Urabrask the Hidden is a traitor or that Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon is Darigaaz, the Igniter maybe he'd be more willing to talk to you if you were a Phyrexian.
Either way if you could give me a basic lesson on how to use your template I'd be happy to work on it.

@benzzer853: You have a bunch of cool ideas! Of course doing an expansion to the game on Alara would be really great since the player already has the option of planeswalking there with Ajani. I could add a little introduction to your expansion's quest on Alara, for example Ajani could ask the player to try to save the plane from collapsing of just to save someone before the plane dies. Finding Progenitus seems a good idea! Anyway, email me : [email protected] Ill send you my templates and stuff, we can discuss the details there. (Oh and there will be new planeswalker cards in the next Return to Ravnica set. If the player can meet those planeswalkers in your expansion he could get their new scrolls :)

OMG this was awesome. It took me a few days to beat it and had to switch decks and start over cause my green agro deck just couldn't do it. So in the end i went with B/W exlated. Actualy did really good had to use the backpack to really just beat the eldrazi and sideboarded in elspeth, ajani, and venser for the last rounds. It was a lot of fun to play with in standard. Now to go see how hard i can power through it using Modern. Good luck to everyone just starting. You might need it.

This was one of the best games I've ever played..I love how you really get suck into the game and start to kind of feel the emotions that your character does. :DThis was really, really, really good, my compliments. But oh dear, the end. The end was awful. You give all your life and you dont even get to have a little kiss from Lili? After all the deeds you have done I atleast expected a nice happy ending for our hero .. oh well. Is there any way you could make some more endings? I'm rather dissapointed with this one, sorry. But the whole game was awesome. :D

ok so some questions: 1) can you put artifacts in your deck at creation or are they only allowed in your back pack after acquiring them in game? 2) once you cast a spell from your deck and it goes to the grave yard does taht mean you can no longer use that spell till you rest or does that only apply to your items 3) do the items from your back pack that you done use as part of your 6 starting get shuffled it to your deck?

1) You can have artifacts in your deck, but they stay in the library/hand at the beginning of matches.
2) Spells are never depleted, only the items from your backpack that are destroyed (Elixir of Immortality , Moonglove Extract , victims of Naturalize , etc.)
3) Backpack items not selected as part of the starting 6 are not incorporated into the match at all. They just stay in the backpack.

can only items you earn / buy be placed in your backpack?

Yes. Normal deck artifacts must stay in the deck. Otherwise you could just put Blightsteel Colossus in play for free or something. Or Elbrus. Something broken, anyways.

We will make it happen! We must show Wizards how awesome it would be and why they should make it a sponsored product that would make lots of money! DotP could be a lead-in to it by teaching the basics and the rules.

This game is actually pretty fun... I enjoy the music and the challenge of the decks. I just copied a deck I had already created Quest Magic : Heartless Architect to use as my character to test it out and decided to keep playing with it. So far the story is pretty interesting and I have won both fights I have been in with the boros and the swamp. Thanx for taking the time to create this awesome way to use up more of my limitless amount of extra time!! lol
