I wasn't able to stay for the entire night, I was actually only able to play 2 rounds so I didn't get a lot of testing done.
Round 1: Me vs Esper Nephalia Drownyard
Game 1: He got stuck on 3 lands, Syncopated some of my early drops but was able to just overrun him with Falkenrath Aristocrat and Obzedat, Ghost Council
Game 2: Once again he got stuck on just a few lands, just ran him over with Falkenrath Aristocrat and Searing Spear.
Round 2: Me vs Naya Blitz
Game 1: I drew a hand with no lands, mulliganed down to 6, only had 1 land in hand but figured I would draw one early enough and I didn't know how fast his deck was. He swung for 8 trample on turn 3 when I only had a 1/1 to block with and couldn't hit a another land so it was game over quick.
Game 2: I didn't side board anything I just really needed to hit my land drop this game. So I started off with a hand of 3 lands. I was able to get a great presence on the board his Boros Reckoner was countered by mine and we were trading blows until his turn when he was able to drop a Hellrider and swung with a Boros Reckoner a Stromkirk Noble enchanted with Volcanic Strength and another Stromkirk Noble, I couldn't block for enough. After the game he admitted that Hellrider was the only card that could have beat me and he drew it. Amazing topdeck.
This was the matchup I was worried about and I can now see why, but if I play it extremely intelligently I can definitely hold my ground and win.
After this I had to leave so officially my FNM record is 1-1 but I didn't get to play the 3rd or 4th rounds. The rest of the decks at FNM were Junk Reanimators, Jund and Nephalia Drownyards, all decks this one was designed to be so I believe if I stayed I would have done fairly well.
