Want to try a wide mentor deck with raffine and mentor as more of a centerpiece and have lots midrange options and value from reanimation via unearth/obscura and tempo out from there. Hope I get to test it soon. Thinking of Obscura Charm/Esper Charm, and maybe swapping 2 creatures for Murktide Regent. Suggestions are welcome
General game plan is
t1 control/cantrip
t2 control or loot, setup for t3
t3 play tokens maker like mentor or souls
t4 pressure and tempo
t5 utilize raffine and tempo spells for heavy hits and hand sculpt
t6 board pres hopefully big enough for smack
if opp still up then grind and capitalize off grave use and spell variety to set up a win
4/14: did some testing with a non raf version, great against other decks but absolutely awful against rag in its current state, going to try zealous persecution and piracy charm; main: -1 lingering souls, -1 Spell Pierce, +2 Zealous persecution, side: -1 prismatic ending, -2 zealous persecution, +2 path to exile, +1 Spell Pierce
4/16: rag hurts, main:-1 consider, -1 pers, +1 path, +1 spell pierce
4/18: did some more testing, shifting lands around to fit better, adding 1 of tasigur but might switch to 2 murktides when i get them, deck gets going when it gets going and seems to grind really hard, put more into looting plan to better execute plan instead of control and durdle. shifted sideboard for anti rag rather than detract from main.
