Rafiq of the Plague

Commander / EDH

Ishmayl

This deck started initially as a straight Exalted deck. However, it just couldn't win. The problem was, Rafiq's nature would always force players to turn their attention me the second he was out - he's a pretty big aggro-draw. So I needed a way that my deck could do real, permanent damage even when he wasn't out, and then I could just bring him out for killing blows. That's where poison comes in.

So far, in the casual group I play with, I've won about 3 out of 5 games with this deck in single player, and 4 out of 5 in multiplayer. For whatever reason, in multiplayer, this deck doesn't seem to draw the aggro as quickly. Granted, I'm playing with very casual players for the most part, but they are good - they've been building decks a lot longer than I.

Anyway, I have fun with it.

I am happy for suggestions, but as my profile description says, I very rarely go out of my way to buy cards specifically for a deck - they have to be cards I already have access to. I have access to tons of cards through friends and family, as the fact that I was able to throw in a Noble Hierarch should tell you, but they are mostly older cards, hence there being no Sublime Archangel (and etc) in the deck.
