This deck features Rafiq of the Many as the general and may be played in 1v1 match-ups or large multiplayer games. The goal of the deck is to ultimately have the general do the work and knock-out other players with general damage with the support of Exalted effects and boosting spells and auras.

You can play the deck slowly, gradually accumulating Exalted effects and various powerful creatures, typically culminating in an overpowered Rafiq knocking everyone out with general damage.

Or you can play the deck fast and aim for a general damage kill as fast as possible with cards like Berserk , Might of the Nephilim, and Steel of the Godhead. With a little artifact mana acceleration and some of damage boosters mentioned above Rafiq can sometimes dish out 21 damage as early as turn 4 (not consistently).

Exalted is supported with Sublime Archangel, Cathedral of War, Qasali Pridemage, Finest Hour, and Sovereigns of Lost Alara.

Rafiq can become completely lethal with Eldrazi Conscription on him, which usually sends the table into a panic. Dumping out a Finest Hour on the same turn usually compounds that panic as people realize two players are about to exit stage left.

The long game is supported with various wrath spells like Tragic Arrogance and Terminus, spot removal like Swords to Plowshares and Path to Exile, and counters like Voidslime and Render Silent.

The lands in the deck are pretty solid and it's rare to not have the colors you need thanks to 5 fetches, 3 dual lands, 3 shocklands, 3 filter lands, and more. Minamo, School at Water's Edge and Okina, Temple to the Grandfathers are often overlooked, but quite important in this deck. Okina is a surprise +1/+1 to Rafiq that people tend not to calculate for when deciding whether they need to leave a blocker up next turn. Or sometimes they think they can just tap Rafiq down on my combat only to see it get untapped with Minamo. Hall of the Bandit Lord is another sneaky land to get Rafiq swinging the turn he comes down.

Just like my other commander decks, this one is also striving to be all foil, which is true except for the 3 dual lands and Berserk (LEB. Berserk could be foil, but I prefer the Beta printing.

Hope you enjoy!
