SHAMANS!
Tribal Shaman deck. Works very well. For a Turn 3 win, you need 4 Burning-Tree Emissarys and a Wolf-Skull Shaman, as well as a Rage Forger to drop on T3. This is highly unlikely, but turn 4-5 wins are very common.
T1: Land
T2: Land, BtE, BtE, BtE, BtE, Wolf-Skull Shaman
T3: Land, Rage Forger, swing with the BtEs and the Wolf-Skull Shaman.
Rage Forger effectively gives all 5 of the 2/2s +2/+2, coming in at exactly 20 damage.
2 x 5 + 5 +1/+1 counters + 1 damage for each creature with a +1/+1 counter = 20 damage.
Beastcaller Savant is a mana-dork that has haste, color-fixing, and the right sub-type. It normally effectively costs , and with Bosk Banneret it is effectively free.
Bosk Banneret helps get your shamans out easily.
Burning-Tree Emissary is a 2/2 shaman that you can play for free.
Elvish Visionary gets us cards and a shaman body.
Flamekin Harbinger brings us the key card that really fuels this deck- Rage Forger, which gives our creatures +1/+1 counters and helps you deal damage without needing to get through blockers.
Leaf-Crowned Elder is a tad slow, but it gets our Shamans on the field for free(currently testing Whisperwood Elemental in place of Leaf-Crowned Elder). The elemental can be fetched with Flamekin Harbinger, and it can work as a finisher well.
Skinshifter is incredibly versatile and can do pretty much anything for .
Wolf-Skull Shaman gets 2/2 Wolf tokens onto the battlefield, which could work well with Master of the Wild Hunt...
The land base is fairly straightforward. Because it is budget, my only non-basics are Rootbound Crags. Obviously Cavern of Souls would help tremendously in any tribal deck, but the price is ridiculous.
The only non-creature spells I run are the omnipresent Lightning Bolt, which serves as removal, and Lead the Stampede, which helps us spew our shamans with more speed.
Please give me advice on how to improve it, while still maintaining the budget.
What do you think of the cards in my maybeboard?
