This deck is a fairly budget-oriented, mono-black infect deck with Coldsnap flavor. The idea was to get out creatures already with infect, or give them it with Phyresis and then juice them up while simultaneously making them hard to block. The snow elements really bring up the power of the deck with Rime Transfusion being a solid power-up that also can make blocking the creature enchanted impossible, if the opponent has no snow creatures, which is likely. The one-drop, Rimebound Dead offers the cheapest regenerate cost for all of one-mana black creatures, which is critical, as Phyresis or Death Baron can let it attack berserker-style on larger creatures to drop some -1/-1 counters or actually kill creatures, especially if one or more Bad Moons are on the field. Let's be real, if you know a guy with infect is coming at you, especially if he's rocking Hand of the Praetors , even a 1/1 is a threat, and blocking it, even if it has regenerate, is a good idea. Predator's Gambit always comes through like a champ, and that intimidate factor often makes only one creature preferable to many. Midnight Covenant offers the opportunity to invest extra mana into single-turn sweeps. Mark of the Vampire and Whip of Erebos both give lifelink to my non- Flensermite creatures, further making defeat of this deck difficult. As far as specific combos are concerned, it's more or less just creature + enchantment = better creature. Feel free to comment or give advice, as I'm always looking to improve, but the overall theme here is infect-lifelink synergy and making big creatures hard to block. Please rate!
